Well, as a person whose heart is solely in the music, lyrics are a pleasant spice to have when done right, but if the lyrics are great and the music is bad, there is No way Im listening to such songs. However, the lyrics might be trash or even Not understandable, but the music is excellent and I will listen to the songs nonetheless. There are times when the lyrics are great and the music sucks and I love it, but that is when its intentional, and the lyrics are great solely due to them just trolling something.
For me… 1. Space Time (the chugs at the end make me feel a certain way 🥴) 2. Death of me (Tasty song) 3. Backbone (Nothing beats the riff at the end) 4. Vacuity (Once again, nothing beats the riff at the end) 5. Mouth of Kala (Just a downright great song) 6. Only Pain (ONLY PAIN!) 7. Chant (So unique and makes me feel happy)

@@BackYardPropsWA I feel like L'Enfant Sauvage beats all when on the topic of emotion. Songs like The Axe, Liquid Fire, Born In Winter, L'Enfant Sauvage and maybe even Planned Obsolescence have so much emotional power in the vocals and even in the guitar riffs aswell, especially with the first 2 i listed.

@@iwillspam5985 im sorry but the intro to Hold On is absolute cringe lol. Around the 3rd quarter of the song, it does have a really awesome riff, but I just don't find anything else great about it. And Grind just falls between the lines. I think Born for One Thing, Sphinx, Fortitude, and The Chant are my favorites. The Trails is also kinda cool

This comment made me remember I had a dream last night where I met Gojira and asked them if they’d ever played In The Wilderness live before. They said yes, but only at a very special show.
