As anyone noticed that Joe Filisko makes the faces of the people he is playing? Take for instance the blank stare of Sonny Terry or the squished face of Sonny Boy Williamson II or the concentrated stare of Big Walter Horton. He is like an impersonator! :D EXCELLENT

What i like anout joe is he has so much soul in his playing. Check out his live duet concert with my fav gospel blues artist and brother Glen Kaiser. The dvd is titled Glen Kaiser Joe Filisko Live at the Cornerstone Festival 2012. You can get the dvd from GRRR RECORDS

Such a treat listening to the master.....does little for my self esteem.....such a long road ahead for the novice....thanks for showing the possibilities and giving us a direction to travel....

Man, what talent. Just when I start getting bored with my playing, here's Joe playing with amazing variety and making it look effortless. Truly inspirational. Thank you! I like to switch between a low tuned harp and standard tuned harp during a song for even more range.

wow, great informative video. Some of the best playing on any octave harp! Always love hearing Joe's thoughts on any harmonica subject and hearing him play the demos of the different styles is a treat. Looking forward to checking out the new harmonicas if summer ever arrives (in Chicago anyway)

Anywhere you can purchase Hohner Harmonicas you can purchase these. Because they are higher in cost, some places will not stock them, but you can ask them to order for you.

He makes it look easy but am sure he has great breath control and style. Chugging so fast I'm sure takes a lot of time even going at a slower tempo for a novice such as I am But then again my 87 year old throat couldn't vibrate that fast.
