I know people mention Robbo as the bargain buy at Liverpool, but Gomez at 3.5 million from Charlton is just as impressive a buy and it goes under the radar.

True but it's because Gomez took a few years to develop into a great player. Robertson came in and after 2-3 months played at a world class level.

@@helio3630 To be fair, it was down to injury. Him and Ings both ruptured their ACL in Klopp's first training session. He didn't get back to prime fitness for 2 seasons.

If he didn't do his ACL, achilles and break his leg last season, I think he would already be considered a world class defender but he just hasn't been given enough time to prove it yet.

I mean thats why you never compare the pace of a CB to the pace of a winger. 81 pace for a CB is like the equivalent of 91 for a winger, thats how you should look at it.

There is no excuse for him not to be. Liverpool's defensive record is miles better when he plays compared to when he doesn't play. He is a key player in probably the best team itw. As long as he is healthy and fit, he will start.

League is in the bag, question is what should we concentrate on next, I believe klopp will put a priority on the CL to try and retain but maybe if we make it past Chelsea he could also make an effort in the FA or maybe we should make even more history with unbeaten and most points. Not saying that we can just choose what we want and it’s ours, the team will have to continue it’s hard work and rely on klopps team management skills

Gomez is the fastest and has the highest top speeds reached in real life games. If it was realistic he'd have 90+ sprint speed. They also won't upgrade VVD's sprint speed because he would genuinely be the most effective centreback in FIFA history including icons, excluding tots/toty.

3:15 As of February 4, Firmino is also a five-star skiller. Long overdue upgrade, that ;-) Gomez has to be the most laid back dude in the squad. Surprised Gomez is OK with 81 PAC and that he didn't comment on the 76 PHY. I reckon both are low... Best English CB right now. Keep improving, lad! YNWA
