Translated so English speakers can understand I can't go to school by bicycle on rainy days, the school bus is crowded, so I have to get up early, and the sky is dark so I can't feel good all day, but it's not bad to be rocked by the bus while listening to this song. Joe Hisaishi's music always gives light to my world.
It's a gift to have this one of my favorite pieces of him played in a brand new music video. Edit: the last part when it reverts back to 'summer', despite the title 'the rain' always gives me goosebumps.
💔 Edit 04.05.2022 Whenever I read this comment, I was very touched... Now my grandma passed away 2 months ago... 9 months after my grandpa died... 9, 5 months after my beautiful daughter was born... With the death of my grandmother, all the beautiful memories with her came back to life... Thank you Grandma for being so loving and caring... I miss you
Now English speakers can read this amazing post At first, I noticed this piece and I was attracted by the melody at the end, and then I put on my headphones and closed my eyes to savor it, and it was like falling into an abyss of tranquility, and the memories of growing up kept coming to mind Life in kindergarten Chasing with classmates in elementary school Club activities in middle school Night tour at university Drills in the army Out of social work, there are also the little things I have to interact with my family, and the little black who used to accompany me to and from school, all kinds of precious memories As the notes continue to be stirred, the eye sockets are unconsciously moist, are they... This is the tears that move you? Thank you, Master Hisaishi, Thank you for the moved music
The most fascinating part of music is that no matter what languages you speak you will always be able to grasp the true meaning of this author's compositions
I’m a dreamer but I still want to be sure that if everybody listened to this piece of pure beauty, the world would be a perfect place to live, in total harmony
The beauty of this song is, I don't need to know who's the composer or what's the context, I just straight bawling from its melody. The best way I can describe Hisaishi's songs is: The songs that feels like home
Mr. Hisaishi, you’re right! There’s always sunshine after the rain🙌🏻 Though it’s not easy to forget the pain in our deepest emotion, we still believe we have faith in hoping for a bright future 🙏🏼 Thank you for always sharing your beautiful music with us and it definitely gives me healing power 💪🏻💖 (I could still remember the first time I saw the one I loved the most was on a rainy night!!)
This music is so beautiful and soothing🥰..every piece of your work is a healing masterpiece..thanks for all the people you make happy.. Love from France..🇨🇵💖💖🇯🇵
This is really beautiful... The composition may sound simple, but I think it perfectly fits the concept of the origin of life very well. I like the part with the high-pitched xylophone ostinato. The big bang, the earth, rain and primordial soup... I love the inclusion of the "game of life" there, too. I think it's beautiful that it leaves the rest to the imagination. how all of that lead to the very moment the listener enjoys those last few notes. Also the visuals when the rain turns into daylight are amazing.
He IS in my top five... John Williams, James Horner(✞), Joe Hisaishi, Howard Shore, Hans Zimmer (Okay, I know James is dead, but it's too recent in my eyes [already 9 year ago! 😳] to just leave him out like that! 😅) Anyway, you see that, placing him next to these folks, you understand that, yes, he's one of the best composers alive (yes, he also ranks very high in the "of all time" category) and, yes, he might be your favourite and/or mine... but he's not THE best, in that sense! Now, look what you did... you had me prove that one of my favourite and one of the best in the world is not THE best in the world... Why? Are you happy now? Are ya?! 😋
I always loved the rain and I still do; I never understood why peopled never loved it. Its beautiful and its elegance The sound of each splash it made to the surface each drop or maybe even all of them together. Like a band Playing a band of rain drops Or a solo when each drop splashes.
This music make me think about a mix of Rain, moon, night and love, like something New and old at the same time. It make me Dream of another world, more peaceful than our. As everytime, wonderful music, emotionnal and awesome 💗
Joe Hisaishi can create the most wonderful nostalgic masterpiece.. When you listen to it, you feel the music taking you back to your memories you had with the people you love ❤❤❤
Woa, I'm entirely blown-minded by this song. Both of melody and visuals are so beautiful and emotional. It's like sth sparkling in my heart and soothing my soul. Thank you Joe for this perfect masterpiece.
Very nice music. I am playing this many times for my kid to hear and feel it. He just recorded his own playing (in this channel). Not so smooth like Joe's playing, but I praised him also. Thanks Joe for nice master piece!!!
I couldn't believe or still couldn't absorb it that he was the composer of one of my favorite movies in Japan the studio Ghibli collection as well as my favorite game "piano tiles" where one of his piece are also my favorite to play "Summer."
