MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!! NOW LIFE IS MEANINGLESS AND DEATH FAST APPROACHES!!!! Are we ready to burn in hell?!👿😈👿😈👿😈 Absolutely not. The above was just a joke but I understand. I liked it when things were back then, no mental madnesses. No extreme political manifestos. I feel everybody in Capitol Hill is just tired. That this next generation of adults aren't going to be very promising as the previous ones.
Some songs make you feel like if you were back in time. They bring back memories of a different world full of magic and romance. Steppin out is one of them.
This song is otherworldly in its magnificence. Nothing like it anywhere. it completely transports you to another dimension. Every time I listen to it I have to come down from being so high. It is absolutely heavenly. 💜🦋☮️
Great song. Funny thing is, I never liked it as a kid, but now I have grown up It's a Fantastic song. So many memories. I remember it was really big in the 80's. Pure Gold.
I was an oldies fan from the very beginning of the 80s. I never became a huge fan of 80s music in general but so much of it was better than the 90s or any of the garbage since. Some songs like this one still have a pre-80s flavor although the beat is definitely 80s. Same goes for a lot of Billy Joel tunes and some other artists, Jackson Browne, etc.
Whenever I hear this song, it reminds of the winter of '82 in Chicago. I was 6 going 7 yrs.old and I can remember my sisters watching the music video for Stepping Out. Good memories! This song always puts me in a good mood
I was 12 and driving with my older brother in his MGB convertible on Lake Shore Drive while listening to this song. It was his freshman year of college and he was cranking this while we drove with the top down. Here’s to happier days, Sean…
I was almost 4 years old at the time growing up in Joliet Illinois at the time. Upon hearing this song at the time, I fell in love with it. I’m 45 years old now and still love this song!!
DAMM GREAT, TIME DON'T TURN BACK...BUT MOMENTS ARE ALIVE FOREVER IN YOUR SOUL & MIND...MAKE ME SAD & HAPPY AT THE SAME TIME...THOSE BLACKTIMES WERE CROWNED WITH THIS SONG
I remember back in the beginning of the 80s when this song first came out the radio announcer said this was a great road song, good to listen to while driving and all. I was too young to drive at that time but as soon as I got my license I bought this cassette tape and lsitened to it for years on end in the car
OMG I fell in love with this song the first time I heard it on an episode of ‘Who’s the Boss’ as a teen! This song was so pretty then, and still is now!
I remember loving this song when I was little, and love it even more now. 🥰 A song of hope and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel after all the shit that goes on in our lifes and the world! Xx
Now, the mist across the window hides the lines But nothing hides the color of the lights that shine Electricity so fine Look and dry your eyes We are tired of all the darkness in our lives With no more angry words to say can come alive Get into a car and drive to the other side Into the night, into the light We are young but getting old before our time We'll leave the TV and the radio behind Don't you wonder what we'll find Steppin' out tonight? You can dress in pink and blue just like a child And in a yellow taxi turn to me and smile We'll be there in just a while, if you follow Me babe, steppin' out Into the night, into the light You babe, steppin' out Into the night, into the light
Bittersweet memories 🎭 I was a teenager in those years. Much later, in the 2010s, I heared it a lot while my son was playing GTA 🚘 🎮 miss the 80s, miss my son ❣
While playing in GTA San Andreas in the game while driving to listen their music in the user track player is Flash FM Songs from Vice City since September 30 to December 2016.
Oh sorry to hear about that but the line that comes after that we'll leave the tv and the radio behind I think that's impossible to do these days cause of smart phones we have now cause they can be used as anything even a tv and a radio.
OK I'm not trying to ruin the song for you because I've loved this song since it came out but you know it's about a suicide pact, right? "Get into a car and drive... to the other side. You and me, babe, steppin' out... into the light"
I remember the first time i heard this song. I was living at the dorms at Oregon State and my roommate listened to Joe Jacksom LPs. I had never heard of Joe Jackson before that. But his music grew on me as I listened with my roommate these songs.
This song just took me back 40 years. I remember seeing the video to this on MTV thinking NYC must be awesome and I wanted to visit that place so badly. Great song and thanks for bringing me back just for a moment to my childhood
I remember this back in my childhood. I was about 2 when came out. But parents would play this along with other good music those days I'll never forget.
When no more angry words to say can come alive. That's another line I couldn't agree with more cause that's what we all want nothing that can cause fights or anything like that.
I used to two-step the shite out of this song…. You couldn’t tell me a thing back in the days, 😆. I busted a move (y’all can guess my generation from that saying alone, LOL); right in isle 6 @ Pathmark when this tune came on the PA system…. My mother was so embarrassed at first but then ppl started clapping 👏🏾 and then I really showed out lol…. Ahh, the good, good ole days 🥰…..
