A few months ago I was witnessing a trial of a director that’s famous in my country. His investors sued him, because his movie didn’t make as much profit as he promised it would. The other side’s attorney brouht up something he was bragging about, as it was contradicting his current narrtation. „But mister, you said in an interview, that…” And he goes like „Dude, INTERVIEW IS A SHOW, IT’S NOT A LIST OF FACTS.” Not a fan of him, and I know that the context was to save his ass and prove he wasn’t lying right now, but those were indeed the words of wisdom.

And yes the number one cause of death of pregnant women is murder at the hands of the father of the child. It is not even medical complications as one might expect. Most will be advised to file for half custody, then prove that the mother is unfit and request more. It’s the only reason I can think as to why his PR team is trying to slander Sophie.

The smear campaign against sophie was real though I'm not a fan of either but somehow i kept getting recommended videos about them which led me to know they are getting a divorce, then when the blame was always on the mother without her saying a single bad word about the dad , and when they were praising the dad for having the kids (bare minimum and ofc with a nanny), i knew this smelled of bs spread by his pr team so it can later help him get custody and hurt the mother more

That’s not how it works. Joe and Sophie had a very public marriage. They did interviews about eachother, talked on late night shows about each other, they posted pictures together on social media. Especially, Joe kept talking about Sophie and posting pictures of her to the public, because he doesn’t have anything else going on. You can’t live such a public marriage and then expect people to stay out of this. If Joe and Sophie would have kept their marriage privet, people wouldn’t care about the divorce. That’s how it works. All I know is his PR team was working overtime to get a story out that no one was even looking for. This all could have been private but in my experience, my abuser made sure to tell everyone about us parting ways before I could. Confiding in them, spreading rumors about me and getting his “story out first”. Meanwhile I was terrifying, having family get me by and taking me to the police station to learn about restraining orders. The abuser usually gets their story out first, while the victim is too afraid of them to tell anyone and not wanting to rock the boat. I’m on her side

Younger generations give up way too easily on marriage. Unless the person is discovered to become toxic/abusive, you should learn to forgive. I hope they're reminded why they were in love with eachother in the first place
