Joe Longthorne was my friend, we worked together on Junior Showtime and later in the 80’s & 90’s I was one of his warm up acts. I loved this man so much 🙏
he was Idolised in Liverpool whenever he returned it sold out. if you make it in comedy or Music You make the Liverpool seal of approval. they absolutely Loved Joe and always will. a great GREAT singer and entertainer ,the best thing to come out of Hull since they built the M62 ! only joking Hull is a fine place.
I went to see this show in Blackpool . A great singer that was'nt given enough credit. There will never be another entertainer like Joe. Rest in peace my friend .
Liverpool empire Joe disappeared from stage. He made his way upstairs through public way. He appeared in front of us up in the heavens. He loved his fans as much as we loved him Best performer ever 💙
Recentley discover this man, and reading about him they classified him as an "impresionnist"...Ohhhhh my they are so so so wrong....This man is a Vocal Expressionist that toches the soul of anyone listening answering questions to feelings they never thought they had.....what a sad lost and what a find that I have encountered...
A brilliant talent and electrifying live performer. I saw him 3 times live. Sadly the last time proved to be his very last performance, just 9 days before his death. He seemed very poorly but gave his very best. RIP.
Joe was an exceptional talent, and a very kind and gentle man. I had the good fortune to see him live, albeit at the end of his life, and the love and affection his audience had for him, and him in return, was palpable! Health problems meant that Joe never really ascended to the heights he should have. Personally, whilst he fitted in very well with light entertainment royalty like Ken Dodd and Des O'Connor, he did sadly get seen as a mainstream entertainer who had a few hits, and was unfairly viewed as a novelty performer rather than a straight professional one. Also he was a proud Romani & said that it was where he got his musical talent RIP Joe
Hi to all I have never written a song in my life and while in lock down I tried and Garden Music in Nashville have been great to me and and xcepted the words and Troy Martin did the rest so anybody out there go for it!!! please don't say I don't think I could have faith in yourself and go for it... Brian
I'm such a huge fan I love this man his talent and passion personality shines through. I listen most days it helps me through the Loss of my son Jonathan passed Away 2021 July he was only 37 also a musician rest in peace Joe and Jonathan XXX
I have only discovered Joe in the last few months and I cannot get enough of him. His voice is the best. I can't believe that I have never heard of him before. He is better than Elvis and second to Mario Lanza. I am catching up now . So sad he died too young.
He sings from his heart and gives everything to his songs. That is why he is so great. Mario Lanza had the same passion and that they were so similar but with different voices.
I've only recently discovered Joe and Michael Ball. I am so thrilled to see and hear any and all of their music. The most amazing talents and their humor and joy in entertaining is so refreshing. RIP Joe and Thank You for your music.
The streets of b.pool, just aren't the same, cause everywhere i look, can't see your name, but then it dawns, you're really gone. As we look back, over 3 years on...
Great voice great entertainer I saw him.live in opera house that was back in the early 90s when we use to go to Blackpool they were great times then he’s sadly missed ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️❤️❤️❤️
think the thing about Joe such a complex personality ,he could have just been an impersonator or actor but wanted to entertain and do a variety off things.I feel when he was serious with his singing there was comparison s with the likes of presley
Simply legendary. His version of I WHO Have Nothing in which he sings like Shirley Bassey then faultlessly switching to Tom Jones is staggeringly incredible. Thank you Joe for your amazing voice and talent. Clive.

Love it!!! Miss him, last spoke to joe at viva a couple of years ago, he had me in stitches for twenty minutes. Got some great pictures of us both. Xx top talent xx
Wonderful. We really are impoverished with the dross on offer today. He interacts with the audience. Not like today. They are all 16 year olds with God complexes nowadays
