Maybe it’s true that she said she was done and he convinced her to try and after failed attempts she felt it was over and that her marriage was too. Can you imagine trying for kids and not being able to conceive. It’s heart breaking. And finally after she got herself together and saw she was worth more than that she was done. We’re all entitled to change our minds. About having kids, not having them, and wanting to experience that. So yeah that would definitely have the growing apart now. His new girlfriend is 35. Prime baby making years. So if he has them soon, then yeah Sofia wasn’t making stuff up.

Maybe that is how she felt, she may have felt that was the reason they were growing apart because she could not give him children. He may not have felt that way but it may have been in the back of her mind. When you can't give the person you love something they wanted that feeling of frailer on your part is still there. That can lead to you growing apart.

I agree. My dad was about 4 years younger than my mom. For some reason my mom always felt too old for my dad. Maybe because she had other children from a previous marriage as well. She would tell dad that he could marry someone younger and have a life he wanted. Which was weird since they had 3 kids together. But something was fundamentally wrong. Now as an adult I see it was moms insecurities brought on by her MIL old fashioned views and moms depression and anxiety. We are our own worst enemies sometimes.

Who knows who is telling the truth. But Sofia sounds sincere saying that she rather be a grandma at her age and let her son bring the baby to her. That sounds realistic. Maybe they are both telling the truth. He said he would stay even if she doesn't want to have children. The truth is: neither one wants to look bad after the divorce, which is understandable considering the line of work they’re in. Maybe they each chose a narrative that they think they could sell, maybe there is some truth in both narratives. There was no reason for her to blab to the media about their divorce or the cause of it regardless of whether she’s telling the truth or not. Since she tried to paint him and his desire for kids as the reason they got divorced, I’m glad he got the chance to tell his side of the story. She should have kept quiet about it to start with, that would have been the mature and right thing to do, IMO.

To be fair, sometimes ppl don't have to say it out loud, but it shows. Also when you love / care deeply about someone, you want them to have all they dream about. I would think that she felt they were growing apart because he wasn't happy. A lot of ppl don't leave their marriages / relationships even if they're not happy, because they love their SO. Perhaps that's exactly what she wanted to avoid. Time goes by really fast, in her mind, she's set because she's clear on not wanting to be a mother again, but he's young so he still has a chance

Maybe she realized that's what he always wanted deep inside and felt it was unfare to deny that to him. Eventhough he didn't care to commit.

It sounds like both are true. She was probably starting to feel her age and didn't want to be an old mom. I could see it being one of the reasons for divorce. I also believe Joe that he would not leave her over that. I think it's one of those cases of opposites attract. Joe said it himself when he was on the morning show with Kelly Ripa. They couldn't make it work long term.

She’s just trying to make him look bad when she’s the one that only likes to party and drink her family was always around like Leeches but she’s trying to make him look like he was depressed? He just wanted a simpler quiet life
