@izzojoseph2
@izzojoseph2 4 года назад
Andrew Andrus ~ see, while I agree he interrupts I also believe he can keep the conversation going. It’s the latter that fuels the former ~ maybe the other way around ~ who knows. So, it does get frustrating at times, like when he has important guests who are making a solid point and he cuts them off. However, sometimes you get guests that drop one word sentences and he pulls them along.
@VigEuth
@VigEuth 4 года назад
Joe's pretty good at keeping a conversation going. It's his lack of knowledge on basic scientific and historic facts, his lack of specific research on his interviewees, and his willingness to launder bad ideas without really challenging them that are infuriating. His wide eyed wonder plays well regarding a technical endeavor he knows nothing about like climbing, but not so much when it comes to the stupid conspiracy theories and right wing nonsense he offers little counter to, if not outright agreeing with it.

I liked his idea of doing shorter things, like maybe 15 minute or less videos. I'm not sure he has the skill of talking for long periods of time on his own to an audience, or interviewing a guest, but if he released short videos on youtube, about whatever, people would probably be enthused to watch and hear it. But like he said, he will only do it if he feels the motivation to do it, or that it's his path. Joe Rogan telling him he should do a podcast isn't going to motivate him, he would need to feel it on his own, know he wants to do it, and know what he wants to do. And what more does he have to say when we can already listen to his interviews and watch him climbing mountains? Anything he might say would possibly be overshadowed by the great footage that's already out there; the greatness that he's already accomplished might make talking into a mic seem mundane and minuscule in comparison. But who knows? There's still plenty of potential endeavors left for him, he's only 33 yrs old. As long as he doesn't die, he can do pretty much whatever he wants.

Hard to believe I live in a world where one man has run a marathon in under 2 hours, another has deadlifted 500kg, and another has climbed El Capitan without a rope! God speed Eliud, Eddie and Alex...Kipchoge, Hall and Honnold are heroes!!!

Hmmm... and his talk, like he mumbles, actually speed talks, but really sharply. He seems like he is person on a higher state of mind, like he evolved into superhuman... So I met couple of people with same kinds of eyes and talk, and state of mind. They are like a same person in terms of perception of life, self awareness, mindfulness and stuff, but also they are wierdly selfish, more like egocentric.... they are absolutely lovable but don't seek for that love... wierd people... hmmm
@hyanchichou7179
@hyanchichou7179 3 года назад
@@saramirko9364 yeah actually this is the kind of people that I admire a lot, just the fact that they have the ability and courage to go for what they believe to be the meaning of life, to see through the truth, put other’s beliefs and expectations of them aside, consume all of their time and energy in their own goal. And for sure sometimes they appear to be selfish, like in the documentary the thing between Alex and his girlfriend. You already know that people, relationship, things like that is NOT his priority, so it’s your decision whether you choose to deal with him or not.

So much respect for Honnold, he keeps it so real! But Joe needs to get his biochemistry straight- Epinephrine and Norepinephrine aren't made in the brain they're made in the Adrenal Medulla. Beta blockers don't block their synthesis or release, it blocks their ability to bind beta-adrenergic receptors such as B-1's in the heart which typically react to stimulation from the sympathetic nervous system (fight or flight). Hollah if you need consulting for your company bro I got you 😎

I'm glad you use that word - humble. People constantly throw that word around like you see that shit every day. This is example of being humble. And you know where it's coming from? You can't fake climbing a rock without a safety net. This is what keeping it real looks and sounds like. He transcends the need of being recognized and praised. Being humble is transcending trait of human existence, you can't see that in the context of everyday regular life. It has to be something special. People mix being humble with everything and anything.
