That talk was needed because we are slowly entering the soft era.

Totally agree, nowadays it seems that there's a hidden agenda to make us weak and embrace vulnerability, and defeat with a smile on our lips. Too much space for weakness and softness

Ok you guys you might be going a bit too far with that gawk gawk, i mean mj was great but he was lacking in certain areas where muhammad ali was not, he never stood behind his beliefs like ali, he refused to endorse the first black governor of i think it was north carolina because he was afraid that he was gonna sell less shoes

Here’s the thing. I’m from Greenwich, CT. I’m pretty rich. Well my parents are. And I haven’t done a god damn thing but graduate college with a 2.2 gpa. Barely bust my ass. And I live in a 1.2 million dollar house my dad got me.

Muhammad Ali was more influential worldwide first than MJ was. In fact, imagine if cable TV and the internet existed during Ali's time-- the same can be said for Elvis too--- world titans. But as far as MJ's HOF speech..... as a Chicagoan who watched every Bulls game as well as witness all the jaw dropping abilities MJ had and do it with regularity on a game by game basis, those skilled freakshow things he brought (literally) every game was simply routine for him, but Godlike to fans... but I disagree wholeheartedly on his HOF acceptance speech. There's an ol' saying: "There is a time and a place for everything, but attacking your adversaries or those who one clearly holds a special grudge over during what should be a celebratory event? That is not the place. If one wants to say he was "angry" with his words? Fine. I choose to call it "venomous," "intentionally hurtful" and most of all "strategically undiplomatic." I found his speech mean-spirited in general and a clear stain on his legacy. Go through the "thank yous", celebrate the well-intentioned goodness of the moment tell some motivational stories, but keep that 7th grade malicious grudge garbage elsewhere. As an adult, whether MJ was obsessed in being the best or not, this should have been one arena to keep his mouth shut. He let his play on the court take care of his detractors already. Leave it there where it belongs. It was not a good light for MJ and I was actually floored when he took that route.

LeBron the only athlete that isn’t allowed to have lost. MJ gets a pass. He actually is praised and worshipped for losing so much until he finally won.

That’s part of the legend. Losing to the Pistons drove MJ and made him better. LeBron simply stunk it up in some of his Finals losses and didn’t necessarily make him better.
@kvbvl7285
@kvbvl7285 6 месяцев назад
I think the parity of all this is the fact that after MJ figured out how to win, he never lost. Literally. He went to 6 finals and never lost a final without ever letting that final get to a game 7. So it's a perfect contrast of losing until you become a winner and that is MJ. That's why people celebrate his greatness because it's a clear and perfect distinction of losing and winning.
