@@clarkecorvo2692 Dana did it purely to save the promotion and for the fans. It’s why when he goes the UFC will struggle during difficult moments like that.
The fact joe went into the octagon knowing he’d have to confront him like that after seeing him throw around his opponent like it’s nothing is a testament to the size of joes balls.
Why would you need big balls to interview a fighter after a fight. I’m sure Joe is a respected man and a capable fighter but he’s not walking into a lion’s den.
He's lying about he's weight. Can't make the weigh-in, can't fight! That's just fuck'ed up, that they allowed this. If that was a title fight he would not be a legit welter-weight fighter, so it would not be a proper competition. It will destroy the organizations believe-ability. They are not trust-worthy when you can't believe their word. What a fuck up!
The whole point of weight cutting is trying to cheat the weigh in anyway you should be randomly weighed 24 times a year or twice a month for those of you that can't do math and your average weight from all 24 weigh-ins is your weight class or if your going to continue to wait cuts if you miss the weight cut you have to fight in the class that you just fell into for the next 4 fights and since you have now ruined the event it will be free to all those in attendance out of your paycheck which is why you will owe four fights in the next weight class
You're 100% right. Dana was getting revenge on Nate... He was LITERALLY feeding him to the wolves (Chimaev)! 🐺 I'm glad that he fought Ferguson instead.
@@UncleRuckus7600 No he's been fighting at 170, and his last fight he was supposed to fight Diaz at 170 he weighed in 9 pounds over weight, so they had to change the fight to him fighting Kevin Holland at 180 catchweight, on 1 days notice.

Khamzat: "I was supposed to make the weight as well, but doctor stop me" "The guy said to me, the doctor. You have to drink water and vitamins and shit" Some clueless dickrider on RU-vid: "Doctor said I'll die from dehydration if I don't drink water. Joe: I have to confront this bullshit"
Well he does fight at 185,& is also undefeated at 185 too, so it wouldn't necessarily be a "punishment" to him, he's just closer to a TS at 170, & wants to eventually be a double champion.

@@99prxp I used to wrestle at the bottom of a weight class (9 lb weight classes, I was typically 7-8 lb under). It was nearly impossible to win against guys at the top of that weight class, with an 8 lb advantage. I could tell the difference against the guys that were in the middle of that class, and had a much better record against them. Having weight classes makes sense. There's not a practical solution to preventing weight cutting -- would you have people make weight for an entire week straight? They'll just cut weight for that whole week, and there's a good chance that becomes a serious health problem.
@@FadingSwordsmanthere's a reason he didn't include what the restructuring is, because nothing would be perfect. PS. Why didn't you just cut 2 pounds fatty?😂
@@99prxpwhy not institute a urine gravity test to measure hydration at weigh ins so fighters have a limit on how much they can dehydrate to cut weight Additionally you can do any doping tests if wanted at weigh ins as well
I'm just a casual, but I still think that the way weight is made or not made is weird. If so many people are just temporarily dehydrating themselves if they don't have enough fat to lose, then that alone would make performance suffer would it not? Why not just keep water weight out of the question entirely.
Kevin Holland was an absolute beast at attempting to survive in the cage. Last minute change of opponent's too. I still want to see D-Rod vs Holland though.
I still think Khamzat missing weight was intentional by the UFC. They saw how much everyone loved Nate and they knew Khamzat would destroy him so they intentionally made him miss weight, they got another fighter in 24 hours to take Nate’s spot, then they gave us the real money fight with Tony and Nate. The Tony and Nate fight would’ve doubled sales because they know the UFC fanbase love both warriors to death and it’d be far more entertaining for us. I don’t buy for a second that Khamzat missed weight by 8 pounds only for him to get a better ranked contender in last minute while simultaneously giving us a way better card and putting two granite chinned (at the time) warriors in Nate and Tony who both have dog in them against each other. Worked out way too good to be a coincidence
I think you’re bang on the money, I know this sounds counterintuitive because of his dogshit English but listen to his choice of words, he’s trying to say they wouldn’t let him cut down to welterweight so that he couldn’t fight Nate, he has no issues with making weight otherwise
@@senrensor4182 Exactly. Khamzat has never missed weight in his career, then suddenly right before the fight he misses it by 8 pounds and fights a better ranked opponent to bump him up the rankings in middleweight? Yeah definitely suspect. I’m convinced the whole thing was a set up because Dana saw the sales weren’t what he wanted so he did it for more PPV buys and to really sell the story that Khamzat is the “bad guy”.
99 percent of the time? Nah. He's a great and intelligent open minded dude would a good head on his shoulders. But he is human. He is uneducated in a variety of areas and is a dumbfuck in some, and a genius in others. Like most ppl. He gets a lil bit lost in some of the conspiracy brain rot. But he's a respectable dude for most anyone.
The satisfying part of the whole fight is that it was canceled 2 times prior. Kevin tried to make a fool out of Khamzat and the entire community downplayed him. And then when Kevin had to prove his shit, he was put down like an animal.
@@shirayuri4345 not many will se it but imo holland is a big clown , always talking in and out the cage, he’s the least scary fighter always complaining or complementing his opponents in the cage , and you could argue this but his striking and ground skill are nothing crazy , I can’t even imagine someone savage like Prime Connor would do to him , most people who fight him has at least felt some sort of empathy toward him, he was never met for UFC…
8.5 lbs up or down aint jack shit for someone that size... I'm someone who generally walks around at around 143 pounds ( I have been doing alot of exteme sports in my life where its preferrable to be on the light and lean side and going up 8.5 lbs in a month or going down around that in around two weeks isnt even a problem for someone like me... Granted... according to the BMI charts 143 lbs it he actual perfect weight for me....
Ah yes the classical one liner retard appeared on the scene so you know what... I will give you more answers to the question you did not ask. Does it look to you like I would give a fuck about some clown on the internet expressing his opinion and trying to be an edgelord? Not really you ass 🤡so since, again, nobody asked then I am just going to continue explaining. Matter of the fact is that if a 145 pounder can go up and down 8.5 lbs with ease whenever I feel like it then it clearly is not alot is it? 3 months, one extra meal a day and a few extra leg exercises 2x to 3x a week and I will be walking around between 170 and 180. Speaking from experience here by the way. You could say putting on that much is a lot... but even that is achievable pretty casually if you ask me. Why do you think khamzat had that face when he was asked about the weight and he had to mention about the UFC doctors screwing it up for him?
Nate Diaz that has the endurance of an absolute beast unlike this guy, if it'd gone five rounda which it would have, Chimaev wouldn't have looked too good in the last couple of rounds
@@starwarsroo2448 it would be amazing cuz everyone fears him but nate has insane endurance and durability and isnt scared I thinnk nate submits him last rounds
In highschool I wrestled against a kid 10 lbs less than me. His school didn't have enough wrestlers to have a full roster so they moved him up a class. I got a warning for throwing him around too much. 10 lbs doesn't sound like a lot but I had to actually go easy on him not to disqualify myself
I got a track scholarship, doing Olympic lifts in the off-season I put on 10lbs lol. My knees were hating me so much but I went home and tossed my brother around the house after first semester. Even though he had more grappling and fighting skills lol

The doctor made him stop the cutting, that what he means. Water to rehydrate is dehydrated body, vitamins bc weight cutting and it’s subsequent malnutrition is arguably one of the most dangerous part of the sport
Come on man he fucked up the weight cut big time end of him and his team didn’t manage it well enough leading upto the fight the doctor IF and a big IF said you need to take on some fluids or you’ll do irreversible damage that’s on them

Well, it's not really that he gained too much muscle. Fighters like Connor McGregor and and every other fighter like Khabib dehydrate themselves badly at the weigh in, your body is 70 percent water so you can lose a lot of weight. Then in between the fight and the weigh in they drink a lot of water and gain all their weight back so they can have a lot more muscle. Some fights are won by how well they can dehydrate themselves. Bascially, the doctor made him drink water. So he would've made the weight but the doctor didn't let him. Just look up connor mcgregor before and after weigh in.

You gotta understand. Most fighters try to gain a ton of weight from weigh-ins to fights. But 8.5 pound lead is brutal. It may not sound like a lot, but it translates into a massive advantage in so many ways. Shouldn't have let him fight.
@@AnthonyShuker Water. A pint's a pound the world round. You cut water weight to make weight, then put it back on after the weigh-in is over. 8lb is making up a gallon of water (Which is 8 pints).
Then they'd just be fighting dehydrated. Need to find a way to keep it reasonable without jeopardizing fights that close to showtime. Maybe checking the levels of hydration. Or weighing them a week out and everyday before the fight. Giving them an acceptable range.
