Minus points for using Time by Hans Zimmer aka "RU-vid Motivation Song" but name me a more effective song for this kinda shit, I'll wait! Plus, in this case it's actually relevant to the content.

It’s all about perception my brotha! “The Gods envy us, they envy us because we are mortal, because each day may be our last, everything becomes more beautiful because we are doomed”. There’s an intelligence to nature and where we find ourselves that’s rooted in love and growth towards something we can not yet comprehend, all is used for good and I believe one day we return to the source. Go forth and express yourself without fear Filipe, you are not alone!

At the end of 2020, the love of my life left me. While I did grieve for a full year afterwards, it has left me with this lesson right here. Everything is temporary. Enjoy what you have to the fullest while you have it. This is not an invitation to engage in debauchery. Instead, it's an obligation to live as positively and constructively as you can. One day you too will be an old man with regrets. Dont let one of those regrets be not doing anything worthwhile with your life.

There is a level of comfortable to this. Nothing has any permanence as life in any form is a process of changes. Life is full of meetings and partings, not all happy but all necessary. If a relative, a friend, a relationship escapes you it’s important to remember nothing is gonna be there for you forever, so don’t dwell in the regret of thinking how you could have changed things so they never left or had more time with you, and remember that like Joe says there is only so much time on the clock, and things will change before you know it. Joe was in his 20s when his hair started to go for example, an early reminder that you age very quickly as a human.

I know how you feel. I remember being severely depressed about turning 16 while everyone else my age was super excited about it lol. I remember being equally depressed about turning 23 and 24. I guess I just hate the fact nothing in life stays the same. Everything in life is fleeting and temporary, and there’s nothing we can do about it. I’m almost 34 now. The older you get the more new memories you create.. My teenage years are a distant memory now, and tbh, I don’t think about it too much now. If I could go back to any age, I’d go back to when I was 6 or 7. I didn’t overthink or think much about the future at all. So those were my happiest years. It’s the overthinking about life that makes us miserable.

Don't worry about what if, brother, that's done. Just what now, and what next. The mind is a muscle, and the only way for muscles to get stronger, is to train them. Discipline and consistency. I know from experience, been at a highest and lowest poiny. You gotta keep going :) get up or give up. Cause one day we're gonna get old, so we better have some god damn stories to tell.
@Fishbro

We are all gonna die together, is there, but the real question is....... Will you truly live? Always live life without regrets, comma and never look back on the past Questioning yourself if you could have done something differently. If you are living life wanting to do something differently and just not doing it then just do it. You control your own destiny.

This Joe rogan clip has to be one of the single most influential videos I've ever seen, thank you. Right now I am considering tattooing "this is a temporary experience" on my arm, just so I'll never forget such an obvious, but such an overlooked fact in life. It creeps up on you with your daily routine, when everything feels so mundane and normal - those are the moments that suck your life away.
@ChristophyBrun
@ChristophyBrun 3 года назад
Thank you, I'm happy you found it meaningful. I am thinking of getting a similar tattoo of "memento mori", which some of the comments here have mentioned.
@iceman-ve1pu
@iceman-ve1pu 3 года назад
Good idea, the only reason I want to stay away from that is I don't want the tattoo to seem like a "looming death", but simply that every single moment, including such the mundane and repetitive ones, are to be embraced. But I actually will take that one into consideration :)

@ChristophyBrun

@@iceman-ve1pu Haha now that you mention it, memento mori is indeed far more "edgy" than This is a temporary experience. And no, sorry I don't have the time stamp. It's from episode 925 with Theo Von though.

You're right it is a temporary experience, but who's to say what comes after isn't just as fulfilling or that any of this even matters, in the grand scheme of things whatever you end up achieving is miniscule in the eyes of the infinite universe, and if i know humans as well as i think i do, the search is never over ... you can accomplish everything in your life that you've ever dreamed of and be stuck sitting there worrying about that one thing you didn't on your deathbed ... There's never an end to satisfy the hunger, enjoy the present for what it is and look forward to what comes after it ... With death being an inevitable aspect of life i'm certain it can't be all that bad when we finally cross over, watching people suffer over it is tragic though ... but we only fear what we don't understand, for all we know it could be like waking up from a dream ...

My father is in a bad situation right now, he has been since 2019, his illness started when I was 24 I am 26 now it's been a rough year but it's very interesting to watch this, man. I was very "nihilistic" and hedonistic since I thought that was the best way to live but I see my wrongings now and this experience made me more responsible (I mean slowly) which is the opposite of what Joe thought at that moment even though we both came to the same conclusion that, holy fuck I am not going to be young forever and there is a chance I won't die young.
