This was crazy awesome live. Go see the Unstoppable Momentum tour live if you have the chance. Joe is better live than on his albums and DVDs. I am not even kidding. Peace.
Might look that way but it's all Joe's artwork in animation. The whole thing is drawings by Joe come to life. The faces and characters are all on his planet waves picks and were released in his art book.
This is a badass video. It's got a great style and has that flight simulator/retro vid feel. I also like the epilogue voiceover at the end. Really cool and fun to watch.
I was going to see you in Phoenix, but my plans changed suddenly. So sad..I liked your video! It is always nice to see where the artist is coming from. I like the whole "City of Gold" & outer space. Peace.
I just saw him live in Cleveland. This song really was amazing live!!! It was heavy as @!#. Thanks Joe for all of the amazing music, you have really inspired me!
Also after watching this video i hoped it was Joe who had created it (not just his characters) even the voices at the end, i thought/ or hoped it was Joe, oh well just my thoughts, but Mr Satriani you are still awesome, so so cool, and the youngest looking musician still going strong after 50! Bravo!
Great tune that beginning back and forth main riff with the drum fills reminds me a lot of the Jimi Hendrix song Fire and I imagine that was an influence, the rest of the tune the spacey keyboard parts, the crazy pick tapping shred fest part, Awe-some-ness..
I absolutely loved Crystal Planet. His sound was so raw and furious compared to the other albums that it completely blew me over. I also listened to Engines Of Creation which for me was incredible. So different but still "Satriani". Have you listened to this? /watch?v=SfM5EnqQ0VE
Joe! Hi man! My name is Dante and I'm from Chile :D I come here just to tell you that your show today was PHENOMENAL! By the way, I didn't know this song. If the video wasn't been shown during the show, maybe I wouldn't have found it haha thank you for the amazing music, YOU ROCK!
I really do like how thus was put 2gthr. It just makes me laugh, cool. And what an awesome song, too;-) Narration at the end is cool, cute but eerie. Speed. Speed is all. Speed and all that Hahaha Hahaha Hahaha. I'm willing to take the jump. LOL!
you are so right and the fact is that joe does not even need to play the same licks again and again. He has such great melodies that his repeated solos hurt the song in my ears. He could play SO much better solos. Last album i loved from him was Super Collosal. proffesor suucthfunkilous and worlmholes and wizards did not appeal to me. Same with strange beautiful music. His masterpiece for me is Crystal planet.
Satch is going in a mind trip now days . Feel the vibe of the planets around us. I wonder which planet satch will channel. But please more harmonic minor. Bells of Lal or forgotten 2 . We need a straight forward song. Like the old days. Peace
...don't feel singled out, if there is one thing I can tell you is that you got to be sure. Listen very carefully, when it comes time to make the decision it is your decision alone. Jumping is dangerous, however, everything you know becomes from that jump. It must hold up to all scrutiny and not just mine. When evil hunts a path it doesn't always realise what it's trying to say.... I know. You will be able to figure it out. Anyway, speed is all, speed is enough, goodbye. People never hear my real voice. People think that evil should sound big and exciting ... And terrifying. I understand, for whatever reasons I speak so forcefully is that my consolidation of power which pains at such a high cost pays dividence to me and those that support me, otherwise I am redundant and will not survive as long.... Well certainly not as long as my predecessors who we both know .. are long dead. So, I hover before you and even though I wish you a swift death, I am secretly rooting for you. So ..... Speed, speed is all, goodbye. #Zeta (Alnitak) #Epsilon (Alnilam) #Delta (Mintaka)
What's the time signature for this tune? I am in need of a similar time frame for something in my head and I'm quite new to music theory. If anyone could help I would appreciate it. Thanks.
wtf? I bought the CD when it came out, know the song. I am a fan of Joe's work to be sure. But still not sure where this installment is going or about? I have heard most of Joe's work and own a lot of it. I loved Black Swans and Worm hole Wizards.......a simple CD for me at least to take in and enjoy the 1st time through.
Great song but I don't like the video. It's too unserious and jocular than I imagined it. Almost every time I listen to a Joe's song I imagine something about space, something fucking epic and trippy, not something similar to a star wars cartoon. That's my opinion..
