I got the privilege to see this man and the dancers in Farmington NM in summer of ‘03. I can’t put it into words, because my brain doesn’t understand, but everytime I hear this man sing I cry tears. It hits something in me.
It's all good! Positive always outweighs the negatives easily. Joe represents all tribes. The Apaches, always good people, good basketball and football players...and good runners!
It's not their fault, many Apaches still dealing with Mountain Sickness so they be hating on anything these days. Best to leave them be and embrace Navajo lovin' :)
Look I dont think its hate but in white river and san carlos and mescalero we all know what is and what is not this song belongs to a real medicine man named Harris burnette which has passed away and when you have attempted sin rise dances for 50 years and never heard of him in these circles makes you think I never seen him conduct a sun rise before I dont disrespect anybody no matter what I would never disrespect the holy songs of your people because I was not raised that way if we put together a group that was your tradition I'd expect you to call us on it it's all were saying.
