Wow, I knew Zoll better than most, used to often hang out at the burgiepad drink beer, and discuss a myriad of issues. Use to lecture him as to his potential because he was really a bright, far smarter than Blue and the rest of the nerdowells he'd hang out with. I'd help him out every so often. Last time I saw him he was moving to Vegas and needed some cash so I drove him to the airport and loaned him the money. I noted that in spite it was a loan I really wanted to see him again. We laughed as he acknowledged "yes Burgie, it's insurance that I get it together or you'll never see me again." I said fuck you now make something of yourself. Hugged him - last time I saw him. WTF
Good morning Mitch. I haven’t watched one of your videos in awhile but I hit on this one. Man, you’re a solid brother with many great stories and some good schooling up advice. I discharged my old my old C-22581 number in ‘86. It’s good to hear “ seasoned “ solid ex- felons such as yourself giving away wisdom . Thanks brother.
Joe was one of two of my friends that would come to my pad and check on me after the death of my first wife. He was a bit more troubled than a lot of us 1980-81 punk rockers but he definitely had a heart of gold. Just didn’t live long enough to get that life experience like us that made it out of the crime/gang/drug scene. Our circle has lost so many over the years and I definitely should be among them as I was as reckless as the next guy, just seemed to be blessed I guess. 57 years old and only had a few years in the big house but it was definitely enough to wake me up. First prison commitment was at 40 years old 😂…. I definitely fit wright in upstate but deep down knew I wasn’t built to be a lifer. That being said I would love to have seen what coulda been had Joe got it together (I can say that about many). “Youth is wasted on the young” my aunt always told me when I was in a jam. She was as right as can be. My two Sons are now taking their lumps in life and I wanna shake them and let them know how good life can be. Love you Joe Zoll, you mean a lot to me.
Ive reached that age where the stuff folks used to do are catching up with em and they are passing away. It's always nice to share good memories on homeboys who have passed away. Thanks for sharing those
I was born next door to Joe on 2nd Street in Manhattan Beach in 1970 and knew him his whole life,, I’ve even got a few Tattoos on my body done by him, but it definitely wasn’t as good as the work he had..Did you do his Back? Zoel was a Bonafide SAV 🤯🤣👍.. A very Rare Breed, especially for around here.. I was in the Joint when he passed away and I was very sorry to hear about his death. Joe was Punk Rock till the end.. Thx for sharing
Hey Mitch, honoring your friend is cool. I miss your video stories . That live stream stuff comes to late for me on the other side if the country. Keep it cool and enjoy your life.
Did u do time in corcoran a yard......then they sent us to c yard in Corcoran...i think i remember pretty sure u were a lifer ...glad u got a date...i was a punk rocker growing up...and growing up in my day to have dyed hair and a mohawk was a fight...
Thank you for the upload 💪🏻 Great advice 💯. My condolences 🙏🏻.RIP JOE 🙏🏻We live long enough to miss people who were once here is the saddest part about having relationships. I heard that pitter patter of paws and I had to smile 🐶. I hope the missus is good also. Keep doing it hard 💪🏻🙏🏻
What’s up Mike, I remember you had hands and could sling ‘em with the best. Hope you’re doing well. I was at Marcott’s when you Knocked Tony ford of his high horse 😂…. Good times before the joint.
Brother nothing has changed as far as the radio goes! The same f$&@&$&shit over and over. It’s like it’s on a loop. I don’t even think we have DJ’s anymore, just a recorded tape of some schlep. I actually broke my radio a week ago because I was so pissed off. Thank God I can pick my own music. When I first saw your podcast I literally thought you were by buddy Lane. Land did time in the California prison system and even spent time in Montana. You look and sound just like him.
Play your friend Joe rest in peace smiley yes that's what happened to my brother-in-law he got out after doing a 10-year stretch got into some trouble is parole officer said you're going back in for 20 he went into the garage and blew his head off is a very bad thing to see
@HARDINTENTIONS It's never too late. I had a coconut and pineapple tamale there last month and some delicious cheese enchiladas, a beef taco and orange Bang. Hell, i never even heard of a pineapple tamale before! It was like dessert. 😋
