This is my review of 1/15 scale Knight Rider cars including the Super Pursuit Mode K.I.T.T. and the evil proto type villain K.A.R.R. all made by Diamond Select
In the new 2008 Knight Rider Tv series K.A.R.R had a battle mode which was a giant robot as K.A.R.R 's battle mode it was like a cross between Knight Rider and Transformers.
I would love to see this franchise go into high budget movie mode with great FX and most importantly taken seriously and not made into a comedy like many other 80s programs turned movie.
The only thing that I can see that Diamond Select goofed up on for this toy was that on SPM KITT (Season 4), there was only one TV screen on the dash. Season 3 had just one TV screen also. The previous seasons 1-2 had 2 TV screens.
I got all except super pursuit mode also have the JoyRide Ertl KITT and KARR even both of them in the Hot Wheels Elite 1:18 scale versions LOVE Knight Rider 4 EVER!!
I got the Diamond "Super pursuit mode" today new and sealed as described. it's very cool! I changed the o.g. batteries that were in there and it is much louder and better sounding. BTW yes there are extra stickers that are the same as the dash already installed. I went to install 1 over the existing same sticker and it didn't look any better just alittle darker so I just put it back. The stickers are the see thru like plastic material. Thanks for your review! It was good. Made me get 1 🤑
Nice ill have kit and karr but dont have other one. Pursuit mode .it nice make starsky and hutch car in that scale and A team van to . karr was hard find eBay was expensive 200. found it on Entertainment Earth love those old,tv show ill remember in 80 s they make one nightrider car with mk in side in the hard to find.and a die cast 1.18 from joy ride hot wheels elite it To much in eBay but will get it ill like the car
Great review! I am still a huge fan of knight rider and have every season on DVD and your review is very accurate. I think for myself I would just buy the original KITT and KARR and put them side by side. Again excellent review!
Juni S. Thanks man!! I think your plan is the way to go. I love all 3 cars but the KITT variant version is the least iconic of the 3 in my opinion. The nice thing is they were not terribly expensive to purchase if you did want to be a completionist and get all 3.
I enjoyed your review. But you're right about the super pursuit mode. It would have been way cooler to have kitt in normal mode then push a switch or lever to make him transform to spm.
My greatest disappointment in 1980s Knight Rider toys is that Kenner didn't use the engineering that it developed for M.A.S.K. (1985) to make a smaller KITT that could convert to Super Pursuit Mode.
you are right about K.A.R.R. he only has the one plate because when he first appeared in "trust doesn't rust" he was all black with a blacked out plate.
anyone know where I can buy the Michael Knight figure by itself? I bought the KITT version without the MK figure and it feels incomplete! I checked ebay with no luck. thanks.
I'd like to order these Models with Noises but I don't know where .I saw on Sites that's it's currently sold out.Do U know a Sites where there's still are .
James Evans Umm not really sure. It basically looks like the way you see it in the vid. It does have a gloss to the finish but I wouldn't say its as good as a diecast version would be.
That is not karr's voice. In the second Karr episode it was done by the narrator of the Disneyland haunted mansion. His voice is distinctively different than the one heard in your video
+der kunstler Yup, the second episode is indeed the "Ghost Host" Paul Frees. At one of the conventions Diamond said they used an "in house" voice actor.
