Some people seem to focus on a few of the Osteen's words, taken out of context. Osteen constantly talks about God and Jesus, and quotes Scripture many times per sermon. Many thousands have turned to Christ after listening to Osteen. And, by the way, Osteen has refused a salary from his church for the last two years.
joel osteen is honest and unblemished, and teaches people of all ages from his experience and tells people to live thier life filled with enjoyment and love. how can you speak of a person with this character in an ill manor?

@ETworldjone The 'danger' is all in your head. Just getting people to come in to a church is half the battle. If Joel can attract them, good for him. Not every person who attends his church is 'rich', nor will they ever be. But they are on a path headed the right direction.

I listen to his messages and take notes and jot down every Bible reference he mentions and then go back to the Bible and read them.. I know I am not reading scripture references that don't exist.
If you are afraid of the truth then you are a false prophet. Jesus said he is the way the truth and the life no man cometh unto the father but by him. Joel Osteen could not say these very words to Larry King. He could have spoken truthfully but did not. He could have led Larry to the Lord but did not. He skated all the way around the question. Inform him of what the New Testament, new covenant, says. I believe Larry would have, at least, listened to him.

well you can say the key marriage is Jesus (if you want) but 51% of Christian marriages end in divorce. you can say jesus all you want but if you don't have respect and joy like joel said then marriage fails. even jesus once said that he came to divide Matthew 10:34-35

I think the biggest reason Christian couples are divorcing at at least the same rate as unsaved couples is because pastors today do not teach their congregations on holiness, the holy life, prayer,etc. In earlier times, many if not most ministers did teach on that and that we are as believers called to a life of separation from the world and that we should appear different to unbelievers as a result. Far too many professing Christians today live just like the world, and so their philosophies on things like marriage and divorce are the same as the world.
Absolutely. God does not bless without obedience and the true Christian faith that results from a true repentance and new life in Christ. Yeah, we make mistakes but God knows the heart and obviously Joel and Victoria have got their prioties right.

I picked up on his personality which doesn't want to push people away from God's truth but his flaw was ppl pleasing and he knew if he said it bluntly it would turn the ppl he's trying to bring to Christ off. Love Joel but there is something superficial about their relationship like any other. He married his dream girl but she dominates him. He's a little too insecure. The reason why they mention respect so much is I can tell she disrespects him as a man. She encourages him to make herself feel good. He's genuinely nice maybe too much into her looks and she just uses her looks and trying to be nice. I still go to thier church because I like the positive message he sends.
