I think of Joel and Gem just being siblings and Joel's the worrisome little brother and Gem's the older sister trying to take care of her brother...😂😂😂 also I feel bad for Joel just motion sick for almost half his side of the session 😔
@@anjisarvI feel like their normal dynamic is more older brother younger sister tbh, just in this Joel was out of his element and gen was more in her element
Gem and Joel HAVE to team up in the next life series, both of them have the personalities of being either complete children or absolutely terrifying (this video being proof of the complete children part lmao)
As a kid I used to only watch Minecraft videos cuz vlogs gave me motion sickness!! The way they whipped the camera around hurt my head! 😭 I got an iPad mini and the bigger screen helped, but I still get it sometimes! Cyber sickness it’s called. Taking breaks helps!
Best part is my opinion is Gem basically being perfectly fine the whole time because she was a figure skater. The most random skill set coming in handy while everyone else (Joel) is dying
2:37 i absolutely adore this part w joel panicking over the mobs LMAO it is so funny (and it’s made even funnier by the knowledge that his TCG card is literally PVP type so he’s supposed to be quite good at this hahaha)
The whole time I was watching them, I was like “Oh, poor inexperienced VR players! They don’t know how to fight the motion sickness.” Tips for anyone that wants to try VR stuff that might make you motion sick: The main idea or primary issue for new players is that your body feels sick when it “sees” that you are moving when you physically aren’t. It’s why almost no person gets motion sick when playing games where they stand in place, but there is a significant increase in sickness once you have to walk in game. Your body gets confused as to why it is moving when you aren’t, and makes you feel sick as it panics. So: - Move your legs in place when you walk in game. Literally pick them up and walk/jog in place. It will help your body feel like it’s moving when you are and help the motion sickness. - Get a fan or moving air in your room. It can help make you feel like you are moving around and air is hitting your actual body as you “move.” - Close your eyes for long falls or sudden upward rising and open them once you hear your landing, reaching your destination, or when you change your buttons to potentially stop your motion. If you need to see, squint until you can barely see. Not seeing your farther peripherals can help reduce the perception of intense motion change you are seeing. - If a setting can be turned on, like described above, turn on reduce peripheral view. Lots of games will hide your outer view with a vignette when you move or even more if you sprint to help reduce motion sickness. - Take some sips of water and breathe evenly to relax your body. There is a correlation that if you can relax your body, it can learn that you are safe and what is happening is safe to know to not panic on you so strongly, or later not at all as you get used to it.
the way my head also hurts while watching not because of Joel's vomiting sounds but because suddenly my brain remembered the first time I played minecraft and felt really motion sick
THIS IS AMAZING Some of my favorite things are: 1. Gem's floppy deer ears 2. How you portray motion, not a ton of frames but very cohesive and lively 3. Body language and emotions 4. The cuts between IRL and minecraft 5. Everything else
I like this animatic a lot. It not only has a great design for all the minecraft youtubers characters but by how they show how the game might look if it was in real life. I mean the little floating block of wood and the little screen for the crafting table is just *chef kiss* amazing!
I love your animation style! Everyone is so adorable and like. huggable. And I adore the moments where the IRL people with the VR headsets on are like guiding their MC counterparts! it’s so cool
this is so cool i love the little bits where it shows them irl with the headsets Also, a real joel and gem duo in the next life series would be amazing
This made me realize I need Joel and a few others to do a vr play through of the game, just like beat the enderdragon and be done, he may die irl in the process but that’s a sacrifice I’m willing to make
Haha!!! Love this animatic, I personally think it’s better than the actual thing!!! My favourite bit is where there is a zombie and he freaks out, wildly swinging his sword around
JOEL NEEDS TO SEE THIS LMAO you encapsulated every aspect of that video so well, i love the way you’d cut from their game selves to their real selves🤣🤣 an absolute masterpiece, i loved reliving this. thank you!!!!💚
