embiid is currently in the best 3 year scoring stretch in nba history michael jordan, in his 1986-87 season averaged 46.4 points per 100 possessions. over the course of the past 3 seasons embiid has averaged 46.3 (on much better relative efficiency, too). hes having the peak mj scoring season every single year and people simply dont talk about it like he is yeah, he falls off in the postseason, but so does kevin durant and i dont think it detracts from the point that embiid is doing something unreal in the regular season

Jokic's career win% without Murray is 63.1% which is better than Steph without Draymond, Giannis without Khris, Embiid without Harden, and I would pick a more consistent 2nd star teammate than Harden, but no one seems to want to stick around with Embiid's pathetic 2nd round exit ass long enough.

They were 0 pieces away when they had Butler/Simmons/Redick/Harris, but Embiid decided to average 17.6ppg on 37% and being out rebounded by tobias harris in a 7 game series. Sixers are 1 piece away from getting past the 2nd round, that piece is Embiid going to a different team.

It’s hard to buy this only because Joel anchors a pretty good defense too. Jokic has the luxury of being blanketed with big guards and wings so all he has to do is focus on rebound positioning. I do love Jokic, but that position also holds a big responsibility defensively.

While still having a top 10 DRtg, and a top DBPM Lets not act like Jokic is only showing to be a good defender just because of his teammates. cause the only good defender he had in 21-22 was Gordon.

@@dontAtMe69420I’m cool with disagreeing. Defense is a team effort and shooting against the likes of 6’4-6’10 with lateral quickness is already hard enough. You know, there’s nothing wrong with being a bad defender. His job on defense is to seal the possession by rebounding. Metrics can drastically overinflate anything in basketball depending on who’s on the floor with you. He’s one of them especially on that end of the floor.

None of those have to do with advanced analytics. Last year he was the only center in the top 20 with steals. He constantly is ranking high in deflections, and I believe this year he actually is tied with SGA for the lead. Hes a good defender regardless of the team around him. There is more to defense than just flashy blocks. Even then, when the game is on the line he is a good rim protector. He just plays it extra safe early in the game so he doesnt get into foul trouble.
