(Please note our main audio cut out at 6:35 so we went to our backup source. Sorry about that)
We caught up with Joel Grind at the legendary Saint Vitus Bar for the big second sold-out show with Toxic Holocaust, supporting Soulfly! We interviewed Joel all about his recent album, 2019's Primal Future, out now via eOne Music. Joel talked about the theme of the album, dystopian futures in movies and literature, technology and how invasive it can be, keeping it DIY for over twenty years, the Portland metal scene, streaming platforms versus buying physical merch, how he manages to have longevity in the music industry, having many side hustles, his upcoming remix and mastering work on Poison Idea's “Feel the Darkness” album (TKO Records), and much more. Interview by and Videography by Keefy, produced by Omar Cordy of OJC Photography ( ojcpics).
