I feel like you got everything right except LSU. I really do not think that LSU is gonna make the playoffs and I will definitely see Miami or maybe even ole miss getting in lsu. I am pretty sure that Ole Miss is going to beat LSU too in their conference game.
Ramen is noodles served in broth. If you don't eat it with broth, it's not ramen, you're just eating chinese noodles. Also, ramen doesn't use pasta for its noodles, so it wouldn't be a pasta in any case.
Used to despise Clemson/dabo. Homie has been standing on business and showing out. Mad respect and honestly really makes me look at coach dabo way different. Good on him’
Ppl hate dabo for no reason, i might put clemson > miami because i KNOW what miami always does in prime time games when its do or die, and i KNOW that clemson is always prepared for those games unless its georgia. But only bama is never demoralized when playing georgia so put my $$$ on clemson lol
I like to drain it but leave a smigen of water. It helps spread the flavoring and adds to the texture of the noodles. Also a player on a streak doesn't acknowledge the streak.
@@stevelenores5637Traditional Ramen has to have broth imo, but the cheap Top Ramen is good either way. I prefer it with small amount of water with butter and seasoning.
Well... eat the noodles dry and wash them down with kool-aid from the flavor packages, right? Wait. We don't all do it that way? The beef and chicken kool-aid are ok. The shrimp flavored stuff... no... no, spank you.
Cant eait to see army in the playoffs 1day, has anybody ever had an ncaa14 dynasty without army as a national championship opponent? Lol finally it will ring true
There’s a good chance the G5 bid is going to be playing the SEC runner-up almost every single year in this format.. And I could see it being years upon years before we actually see the G5 team upset the SEC runner-up
Ramen is a combination of noodles and broth, traditionally. I’ve definitely drained the “Cup O’ Noodles” or “Top Ramen” brands, but if you go to a ramen place, they serve it with the broth. So, it’s a soup.
Get the angelhair noodles (i buy the bags with "nests" cook 1 nest for a snack or 2 fkr a meal, 4 for 2 akd the whole 8-12 nest bag if theres alot of company) buy the smallest can of cream of mushroom (i suggest to use only a 1/3rd or 1/4 of a can although cream of mushroom is a personal preference of taste and texture, experiment with how much until you find what feels perfect, i like cream of chicken AND cream of mushroom but i only use little of them like 1/4 of the small can, chicken or beef broth cubes (only use 1/2 of a cube, maybe 1/4, the cube is strong) cut 2 baby carrot into onion chops, 2-4 pieces of broccoli, a very light teaspoon of cilantro and mint, plus whatever else herbs/spices u enjoy but the mixture of cilantro +mint is key to authentic flavor. For the broccoli just rip the "leaves/afro" off the stem and mix that in, u can cut the stem if u want to but I never liked that part of broccoli, so f that, i just use the treetop parts. Get some salad seasoning mix and sprinkle twice with your wrist... BOOM! Homemade ramen done perfect, its a plus if u can find the thin pork sirloins (they sell it in asia everywhere, its porkchops but cut tk the exact size of usa bologne, cook 1 of those thin balogne-size porkchops and cut it into pieces to add some meat into the ramen... yumm ❤
@JoelKlattShow Loved your updated bracket. I had a few questions while listening: 1. Is the G5 spot locked at 12, or is there a scenario where a 12-1 Boise State could move up a spot or 2? 2. If Miami was 12-0 before losing the ACCCG, would they still get left out because of their weak schedule? 3. Could Notre Dame sneak in if they run the table and finish 11-1? 4. Is there a scenario where a 3-loss SEC team still makes the bracket? 5. If Oregon goes 10-2 and misses the B10CG, where would they fit in the bracket?
1. I think so but very unlikely… 2. Definitely not… they would still make it 3. Notre Dame gets in at 11-1 because it means they beat USC 4. Maybe in a crazy world but it’s almost impossible due to how many good SEC teams there are… I don’t see that likely… 5. Depends who they lose to, but I’d say they’d threaten to be left out but if Boise State does get that 12 spot it would help their case… so I’d say probably 10-11… only if Penn State beats USC
@@xryanxbl910on number 3, not necessarily. They don’t have a conference, therefore there are no guarantees for them. Coupled with a very weak schedule, their playoff hopes are predicated on a weak top 12 which seems unlikely at this point. Plenty of competitors this year.
College football for the fans online has become just a place for people to be stupid, to say stupid things, and to look stupid only because they are trying to hurt someone else. The worst thing about CFB is the fans.
Hey man that goes for all sports it’s because there’s hot takes, cold takes, rivalries and everybody having a different opinion and more people take it the wrong way than not
CFB has been so difficult for me to watch this year. Maybe the SEC is used to buying players every year, but I just can’t get into this. I’m fine with the kids getting paid, but not this way. For me, it’s ruined everything because the higher ups only care about the bottom line. I can root for a few players on my team, but the rest act so immature and arrogant. Our team has NEVER been like this over the last two years. I’m sorry to be so negative.
I understand where you’re coming from. I would encourage you to look at it from the perspective of being mad at the NCAA. The reason everything has happened the way it has is because of how the NCAA was greedy and took advantage of the athletes that played. Now everything is exploding the way it is because of how poorly managed amateurism is
Hi Joel! I’m somewhat new to college football fandom but I love it! Thanks for your videos. They help keep me up to date and excited. You had mentioned something about a schematics series? I think that would be awesome. I’m trying to learn more so I can watch with more understanding. Thanks.
Ramen is a noodle dish. Drain the water, there’s no point in putting flavoring in if you don’t drain the water. I like to use a Bouillon cube to flavor the water/broth, then drain it, then add the seasoning. You’re absolutely correct Joel.
Joel, i completely agree and this analysis is why you’re as successful on FOX as you are. Top Ramen is definitely better with the water drained and the flavor packet added after
My new favorite show this season best most professional analysis I've heard in a really long time I know a lot of SEC fans think Klatt is bias against us but if you will give him a chance and just follow him for a while he in my opinion calls it right except maybe Colorado but that's understandable and is still pretty dang accurate
I’m with Joel my ramen I boil water, throw noodles in, once they’re ready I drain about 80 percent of the water, add the seasoning and whatever extras you want and it’s ready to go. Flavorful noodles and broth
i cant lie, prepared a bowl of chicken top ramen to watch this segment and was pleasantly surprised lol. its a pasta, no broth is the way to go. klatt, you are a man of many many talents. 101 series would be dope, watched football my entire life and learn more from madden. maybe even add a player and be the football version of mind the game pod.
Instant noodles are terrible for you. That being said, Top Ramen is a soup. It’s even better when you add some vegetables, some protein, and a runny egg on top with some hot sauce.
First off, great show. Always love to listen to your take. Second, for me, the way i eat my ramen depends on how hungry I am. If I'm not that hungry, I'll just eat it the way you described. But if I'm really hungry and want a luxury ramen meal then I'll drain all the water and add in a can of cream of mushroom and maybe some crackers. Plus some hot sauce. If I'm really hungry and don't have extra things to put in it, I'll keep the water so I can drink the broth and fill my stomach more. But that's just me and I'm poor. Lol
Top Ramen is… BOTH! You can eat it either way. When I was a kid, I’d usually drain the water or just crush the dry noodles in the bag, drop in the seasoning, and eat it uncooked. Now, I usually add meat and veggies and extra bouillon with lots of water.
I feel as if I'm one of the few rutgers believers. Like I felt they were in control for the majority of the VT and UW game and are physical and are legitimately a good team.
@clintongreenwood997 I don't believe total yards can really tell you a story of a game. I'm not saying there is nothing behind them, but like when washington doesn't convert 4th downs, I feel it's not fair to rutgers to say that got lucky. They had to make the play. They stopped them in two huge swing spots of the game on the first drove and down at the goal line. They had 200 more yards of offense and had the ball for only one minute more. These are all things that Rutgers DID that win you football games. It's not washington out playing them it's Rutgers making plays. I hope that makes a little sense. Rutgers is a darn good team, and I think they're gonna suprise a lot of people against Nebraska this week.
Michigan has @ Washington, a much tougher @ Illinois, Indiana looks tough now, rival Michigan St and @ Ohio St. I give credit a tough defense. but, totally weak passing game on offense. People will load box and force Michigan to throw. which they can't. the ceiling is maybe losing to only Illinois and OSU. 3 losses don't get you close. even if you win out you have to battle the bowl ban coming.
I'm also perplexed by these predictions. Washington LOST to Rutgers, yet people are picking them to BEAT Michigan? It'll be closer than the national championship game was, but i still think Michigan wins this one. I don't see how Washington stops the run.
@@Bond007fan hahahahahahahahahaha 1st not guilty and 2 you think the B10 is gonna give up the 10-20 million dollars Michigan brings to the table in post season.
Hope you're right about the Nebraska vs Rutgers game. The team, and my heart, needs a break from these nail biters. A comfortable, confident win would be amazing. GBR!
Joel, I like it both ways. You should try it stir-fry style. Boil the noodles, drain the water, skillet/wok with soy or any other stir-fry type sauce with the flavor packet. Terrific.
You put the flavoring in the water and then boil the water and cook the ramen. Just use enough water to cook the ramen and then add soy, fish sauce, hot sauce whatever to it and a soft-boiled egg. Perfection
When you say "running quarterback" to a Michigan fan, the first thing that comes to mind is Dennard Robinson. So, it is not unexpected that when Alex Orji was labelled as a "running quarterback" we all had visions of a larger version of Dennard who could not only burst out for long gains and TD runs, but also bulldoze defenders along the way. Well, now that we've had a good look at Orji's game, a couple of things seem evident. First, he is large and bulging with muscles, but not at all elusive and not very fast. Second, the Michigan offense not only doesn't have very many run plays for its QB (See "first", above), and the runs they do have are not the least bit deceptive. Seems it would be a natural to fake to Mullings headed for the middle of the line, then have Orji run around the end. Pretty basic to any offense with a running QB, but I don't recall ever seeing it, so far this season. It's pretty bizarre, IMHO.
For the Top Ramen qiestion: Definitely consider/make it a pasta. Do the same thing as you and drain the water. One thing I do that people say I'm weird for, I actually rinse the noodles in hot water after I make them to get all that extra stuff out, especially when making it for my son. Then I drain it and season it 🤙 sometimes leave a tad bit of water in it after rinsing to let the noddles soak up the miniscule amount of water still left O-H!
Ramen is absolutely a noodle dish, but it's technically not a pasta, because it doesn't originate from Italy, nor is it made from the same type of grain base. If you like Ramen as a soup, then you buy Cup of Ramen. The way you make your Ramen is the better way to do it, although I simplified the process by adding just enough water to cover the noodles while they're cooking and add the seasoning at the same time and then just boil out the water and you have perfectly seasoned ramen that doesn't have to be drained.
I grew up extremely poor I have eaten it both ways Top Ramen with water soup Top Ramen without water pasta noodles now that we settled that Iowa's offensive line will keep them in the game tell the fourth quarter
As an Oregon Alum/Fan I would love a 6-seed and a chance to play LSU in a playoff game. This bracket looks like a lot of fun. 2010 BCS Championship game rematch anyone? This bracket gets me juiced for the playoff. I'm unsure how I feel about 5 SEC teams, but I like your logic regardless of how I feel about that number.
Since Ramen is an Asian dish, it’s technically a soup and is traditionally served the way your staff described. However, the better way to eat it is Joel’s version.
Ramen in broth is a soup. Ramen without broth is a noodle dish. Calling Ramen without broth “pasta” would be like calling spaghetti without sauce “noodles”. Like, you’re not wrong, but you’re not right…
K-State out of the big 12 is such a strange take. I know Johnson is good but that BYU defense had him seeing ghosts. If they have to play a utah, Iowa state, or even BYU and they get down early I'd worry.
Joel, it is most definitely a pasta! You eat Top Ramen for the noodles not the hot water/broth. I don’t know how this is even an argument. I got you, brother!
@26:48 "You've also got Texas Tech who is still undefeated in the Big12...They could be title contenders too the way this conference is shaking out." Fixed that for you, Klatt.
Joel - can we get more in depth coverage of the ACC? There are a lot of teams that are playing some pretty good football (Duke, Boston College, and Pitt) that arent** big brands and deserve a little coverage they way Rutgers, Illinois, and Indiana are getting.
1. Excellent! A good way to start might be formations and personnel packages on offense. 2. The answer is yes, it’s both. However, your way is definitely better in my opinion. I want pasta, not a thin broth.
It is both. I eat it both ways: pasta and soup. Stop using water; instead, use chicken broth or beef broth. You can use half to 3/4 of the required water(broth) to eat as a pasta. Add chicken, precooked shrimp, a fried egg, and a fresh precut veggie mix to take it up a notch.
