Dude, So much love and respect for you now after seeing how much love and compassion you have for dogs. Dogs really deserve so much more love and attention than they receive. so much better than most people!!
I was 9 year old 4th grader at Jefferson elementary when the Chalenger shuttle did the watusi all over the sky. It was a couple of weeks after we got back from the Christmas break that year. I remember the part leading up to it because of Christa McAuliffe being a teacher. We watched it happen on TV around 9:00-10:00 that morning. I’ll never forget it.
Funny thing about that 101 "BOOM" graphic , there was a teacher from Northern California aboard the Challenger that day named Christa McAuliffe . I believe she was Camron Park Ca. because they opened a skatepark in her honor . Its a fun park a little bit of everything to skate .
Those wonderful lil pups will definitely get a forever home now after a shout-out in this vid! Bring the Pugs to a skatepark one day and show the kids how to walk them, give treats and clean up their poops. :)
Dude Mr. Brezinski is a million times cooler than I thought! I am a pug lover too and I feel very happy that he is involved in rescuing pugs!!! Great video, thank you Mr. Transworld!
The VHS tapes at the end really take me back. I used to watch Modus Operandi, daily, watching tapes and getting hyped to skate in the desolate streets of a post industrial wasteland. I love this series, don't ever stop making these.
I would treasure a half-ass trophy more than any other, especially when it takes full-ass effort to win it. Irony is not lost on me. I've got a few of those after 20+ years as a graffiti writer, but none are quite as obvious a gag. My best is a rusty iron bar that nearly killed me. I have some mid century spray cans and very weird knick-knacks, like the rusty ladder rung that broke under my weight 100 feet up the fire escape of an abandoned Connecticut factory. It failed after I bore weight on it, leaving me with my first ever moment of true survival instinct. I broke it off completely on my way back down, and brought it home. 20 years later, almost every guest that does my house tour asks why a bent, unremarkable rusty bar is on display in my art studio curio cabinet. I tell the story, and they either look at me like I'm insane for the rest of the night or share their stories of youthful adventure. Either way, they're always curious. It's my version of a shrunken head. There's a white-knuckle story behind it, and most guests want to hear more.
Funny how Joeys Skateboarding career is based on Tech manual tricks yet his 1st board is a Salba one of the most hardcore backysrd pool skaters of all time . Its awesome
The era of late 2000s was when I was most into skating. Joey was one of my faves and a lot of the stuff he talked about from that time was super nostalgic. I read a lot of those Transworlds he was in during the manny mania days! Gonna have to hit some of these dudes up an see if they wanna sell me some of their old gear lol
Thank You so much for this! Makes me feel ok about being a fellow SkateHoarder!! Haha. Love every vid Joey is in. CROB board!!! was it the switch flip-switch manny board!!??
Besides thrasher- pros showing up in a town and skating for the kids is all the mainstream exposure we had in the 90s- Good on you Joe Breezy Wavedancer skateshop Annapolis Md-1995 Attitude skateshop- Bowie Md- 1994 Intensity skateshop college Park Md-1993 Those were the contest & demos me and the crew hit up as middle schoolers
I need that Natas Challenger. I was pretty close to Kennedy Space Center in school when it blew up. We were all outside watching the launch and then it got weird when we realised we just watched 7 people die ...parachutes were not an option. One of the Astronauts was a female school teacher. A popular joke was N.A.S.A= Need Another Seven Astronauts. It was fkd up.
Div 88 still wouldn’t mind seeing it again maybe he’ll show something he didn’t show on the other vids you never know cause these skate hoarders vids be going in depth on what they got saved
Perfect tagline for an animal foster !!!! " JUST TRYING TO MAKE ANIMALS COMFORTABLE ON THIS PLANET " "ESPECIALLY ONES THAT GET MISTREATED, LEFT BEHIND, AND FUCKED OVER"
Dude, mad props for yr work with animal rescue!!! If i ruled the world, man, animal abuse would be fukcng punishable by straight up hand chopping/ limb losing. Anyone who could chain a dog to a cactus in a desert like that deserves to lose their JO hand, straight up. And dude, that Natas board is SICK! Jealous AF!
