Just watched it last night. Im still happily eating meat. Tho i will say i would like to starr buying meat from farms ive actually visited and know how the animals are treated during there lives.
the woman who called the chips in burgerking disgusting, should be actually disgusted by her lack of ability to use her cellphone and brain to find a vegan resturant in LONDON
@@feartheduck6664 Oh come on, it was a very lame reason not to eat vegan, it's London FFS, even the chip shop in my tiny local village in the countryside of England sells vegan options! She did show ignorance and lack of thinking there.
I can't believe as recently as last summer I didn't understand or research veganism. Now I'm disgusted I was eating almost everything animal product related and didn't think about it. People can change with more info! Activism is so important
As someone who lives in London, I'd genuinely struggle to find somewhere that doesn't offer a Vegan option. People at work (largely meat-eater office) routinely go to vegan places for lunch, because the food is so good
He didn’t address how pesticides and poisons are getting into our water ways and oceans causing mass dead zones or how much more native vegetation will have to be cleared for the world to be feed? Also how is it any better for the environment using more pesticides and herbicides? if we stop killing animals for food we cant be killing animals for vegan food either that’s the most hypocritical thing iv ever heard
@@donaldduck5202 The majority of crops is fed to livestock, oceanic dead zones are caused by overfishing, the water is polluted because of animal agriculture, and there won't be native vegetation having to be cleared if the world would be vegan. As ironic as it sounds, a vegan world would need less space and less crops, since livestock eats a LOT more than humans do, such as 16kg of food and 5,000-20,000 litres of water to produce 1kg of meat. We could feed far more people. For now, the focus is on animal agriculture since it uses the majority of our crops. When we reach a point of no more livestock being bred into existence, I can assure you we'll move on to ensure no animals have to die for crops either and work on environmentally friendly crop agriculture. We cannot go out and protest the death of animals during crop production when animal agriculture itself is the cause for the majority of said deaths, so we need to grab onto that first.
@@83uwb definitely more space because animals would cease to exist at all, there'd be mass extinction. I suppose that's what Vegans would prefer of course, no animals no suffering.
Your channel has opened my eyes completely to the meat and dairy industry. So much so, that I don’t even look at the meat section in shops let alone crave to chew on it ever again 🤢 poor animals. I’ve been vegan for a month now and that will always be the way. I love it.
He can either lose or "not lose", he cant "win". They'll never admit they are wrong even when it is clear they are. There is no humility left in the western world.
I'm baffled how these "intelligent🤔" people just can not grasp the cruelty involved with killing animals. You give them a vegan option and they recoil in horror.
Vital Link if people were in a life threatening situation I bet people would. The reason people chose not to do it is because they aren’t used to it and don’t feel comfortable doing so. If you look back thousands of years people were able to do it without hesitation because that was their lifestyle. We have evolved as a species and have found new ways to make our lives easier and more comfortable.
@@nestlawatr5643 erm so when has a 10 week old lamb been a threat to a human? Also please provide proof we've done it without hesitation for thousands of years. A cow was worth a lot of money before we had machines to plough fields. Why would they eat the only thing that people need for farming grains?
I think a lots of people eats meat only because it's socially acceptable. Whenever it changes, they lower their meat consumption or stopped eat meat completely.
You attempts to guilt shame people with the shock and revolt terminology simply doesnt work. It just exposes you as mentally impaired and emotionally dysfunctional.
I think Jeremy Vine is a Vegan in the making, I’m surprised how friendly he was with you and respect was shown and time given. Without interruptions with the usual absurd ‘arguments’. I think he wanted to give you/Veganism a fair chance to get the arguments for Veganism across!. Perhaps I’m being too optimistic. 🌎✊🏽🌻✌🏽
13:54 "I went to an abattoir once and I saw a sheep being slaughtered, and it did upset me, and immediately afterwards I ate a sausage roll." Psychopath confirmed.
Carnists always bring up "nutrient deficient vegan baby death," but never the millions of nonvegan children who have childhood obesity, juvenile diabetes, and fatty streaks in their arteries as children.
Those are often not even vegan, but media tho. They should bring up the thousands of non-vegan baby deaths, but don't care about that as it will expose how stupid their point is. Well, that should be clear anyway.
@Meat for all I can see where you are coming from with your first comment. Vegans do seem to only care about the movement, not the individual person. If that person isnt slim, they are not seen as a vegan. Its just that ideology and mindset people do push out to try and get people to go vegan. I just hate when you say you're "plant-based" and they tell you that you need to call yourself vegan for the movement. 😑 who said I was doing this for the animals, the label I use is true for myself
@@sakura_neko536 I'm not slim and I'm accepted as a vegan lmao. And I wouldn't be bothered if you were to call yourself plant-based. Veganism is a way of life, more than just a diet. I feel like saying "plant-based" affirms you're there for the diet and not the lifestyle.
@@darkflex8895and how many animals have you "ripped into" with your canines? None. Zero. You couldn't if you tried, the animal would think you were playing not trying to eat them with those tiny things!
@@darkflex8895 Yeah we eat like real lions! We go into the supermarket where chainsaws etc. have already cut up the musle meat and then we rip into it raw with our huge canines oh wait no we use forks and knives and we have to cook it too like real lions :) Dont fool yourself bro. You are designed to eat fruits and veges :)
I think that it says a lot about Jeremy's thinking that he keeps discussing the subject on his show and having you on repeatedly. He's a wannabe vegan. He just needs a good push. Very good appearance BTW.
Love your videos! You hit the nail on the head every time gives me confidence in my views even more. Thank you for being you, you don’t realise despite the negatives from others what a support you are to defenceless animals 💕
Well done 👍 once again Joey sending heaps of love and support always and let’s all kick ass together and I’m a proud vegan and animal activist FOREVER xxxx
Well done Joey. Got your points across incredibly as per usual :) Keep it up as you're turning people vegan left right and center. You turned me vegan a year and 4 months ago.
Just graze park grass when youre out.........maybe youll actually get some B12 from nature & not the lab, that is assuming the poisons sprayed on your gmo crops havent destroyed the soil there aswell!!
It cant be good.....its fake food!! Definately aint as healthy as natural food from nature & should never substitute what nature provides.............unless youre vegan & youve turned youre back on nature to worship science!!
No NEVER last time was about 10-15yrs ago id say. I dont get sick, i dont remember the last time i was. Lets look at vaccines, prescription meds & anti-depressants & compare deaths & suicides from these things to death & suicide from all drugs & see what seems to be causing more death & making the most money shall we?? Im consistant but there is a difference btw with choosing fake food from labs when nature provides the same thing naturally to using medication when there is no natural alternative. Better stay logical here right!! My argument is how can lab created food that substitutes whats already provided by nature naturally be a smart or healthier alternative?? Its ridiculous!! You idiots claim its all "unhealthy" yet you go to trendy cafes & eat vegan cheese & mayo on a burger🤦♂️
Anything you find that is a part of nature is provided by nature.......its a tricky concept to grasp, i know. We use our brains to make our lives easier atleast thats the idea, NOT to fix flaws in natures design......the ego here!!!
Deanna Pye not to mention the fact that our tastebuds change every few weeks and constantly like and dislike new things. Taste is a pretty irrelevant argument
Carnivore yeah, because that’s relevant. You just don’t get it. The whole world revolves around you doesn’t it? Everything to please you? Exit your bubble once in a while, there are several billion other people out there.
@Aidan BUTLER: I would be fine with that, actually. But my point is that plant foods are cheaper than animal foods with only a few exceptions, and the more expensive ones can be avoided.
I'm vegan for 4,5 years now and it had never been hell...but the truth about factory farming is hell for so many sentient beings! Open your eyes and make the connection!🌈
"I don't want other people's agenda pushed on me". They don't realize that being okay with the commodification of animals is also an ethical principle.
@@bakugokatsuki586 lol wtf you actually truthfully think this mong looks buff? get a grip and pull the other one lol.. not fooling anyone here mate, he is a pipsqueak and with every video you can see his hair getting worse, skin deteriorating and muscle mass disappearing, what a joker you are
Hippydippycrazy chickenlady I was speaking to a customer at work who has chickens and she was talking about putting spiders/ bugs outside instead of killing them. “I could never kill “anything” (🙄)”, she said, as she was buying eggs and animal products. She seems like she could be vegan but people are so blind. I would have loved to have pointed out her hypocrisy, but didn’t think work was the place.
It amazes me that someone would prefer to eat a corpse over a vegetable!!! My mom thinks I am sneaking her vegan food, such as Wiley Wallaby black licorice. She saw the word "vegan" on the front of the pack the last time I ordered it off Amazon, she said she could tell it was "vegan" because it didn't have a strong licorice taste. I didn't know what she was on about, so I asked her, and she said I got her the vegan version. I responded that Wiley Wallaby licorice IS vegan. On another day, I called and asked if she wanted tacos from Taco Bell, and she said, "No, I don't like the vegan meat they use." I told her that Taco Bell doesn't use vegan "beef". I met my 1st vegan recently (where I've lived for almost 19 years), and we made plans to make vegan jack fruit nachos this past Saturday. I told my mom that she could have chips, beans, lettuce, tomatoes, salsa, and cheddar cheese on hers, and she said "No!" I asked why not, and her reply was "Because they're VEGAN!"! She's 85 and has cognitive issues, but still....
Well, he is uncommonly sharp and intelligent, but you also need to remember that he has done literally thousands of hours of debating and discussing this topic and he knows it inside out. Always the same handful of arguments come up again and again. It doesn't take a genius to master this topic quite quickly.
I honestly believe the networks think that trying to defame or shame you on a wide reaching mainstream platform is dealing a blow to the vegan movement when in actually it's one of the best things that can happen for the movement.
@@richiedaly87 No.......I have no interest in trying to find people who push notions that needless intentional violence perpetrated upon innocent sentient individuals is somehow morally justified
@@richiedaly87 I will wait for the link. As for not arguing a point of disagreement, it's not that I never would it's whether it's worth it. For example, I don't think it would be worth arguing with someone who insists the earth is flat in the same way it's not worth it to argue with someone who insists that there's a biological requirement in the human body for the flesh of animals.
@@richiedaly87 Living vegan isn't a diet per se. So unless someone can demonstrate that humans must consume flesh in order to be healthy, then there isn't an argument to be made against living vegan.
The commenter said she doesn't want other people's beliefs and opinions pushed on her, I find that funny since from the time we are born we have other people's beliefs and opinions pushed on us. She was taught to eat meat so she eats meat, everything we are is learned behavior. At least her knowing what veganism is she can now make a choice for herself and choose compassion.
The Incisors EXCUSE is hilarious hahaha !!! It always sounds so ridiculous when people trying to point out their "carnivores" teeth. Imagine comparing that to a Lion's teeth..Try again my friend..hahaha that's right Joey!!!
Keep it up Joey! Love the content brother, I think it's silly how people want to depict you as aggressive when you're basically just sitting there acknowledging the truth.
People tend to lead with their strongest argument. If they had any argument against any of his points they would lead with that. The best they've got is "he offended me with how he said it".
What's life without spice? I love that Joey states that we like food because of the taste and not because of the chopped up animal in it. I love cooking and surprising my non-vegan friends with the abundance of flavor in my dishes. They also appreciate the health benefits from the meals and the medicinal herbs iii involve. I plan on opening as many peoples eyes with delicious dishes as I can. If people love the taste of vegetables then how can they still argue that eating meat because of its taste is necessary or justifiable? Thank you Joey for continuing to apply pressure. Be Vegan! :)
It really shouldn't be a surprise to anybody that vegan food can taste as good or even better than corpse food. After all nearly all of the flavor in meat dishes comes from the spice and herbs, marinades and sauces slathered all over the meat to make it edible. If you doubt this, then imagine eating a plain boiled steak. This is actually how I came to being a vegetarian. I was cooking up some pork chops one day and making a nice port wine reduction gravy from the pan dripping to go on it and my ex-wife asked my why I always make all of these sauces and rubs for the meat. My answer was, "well it's meat, it needs something". Her next question was "well if you don't like the taste of meat, then why do you eat it". That was a really good question to which I had no good answers. So now 25 years later, 10 as a vegan I eat the foods that have all the flavors I have always loved without rubbing or pouring those flavors on a corpse.
Wow. She freaks out and denies the vegan burger that is made from plants but will happily eat a burger with a chicken carcass... meat eaters confuse the heck out of me
"I don't want others opinions pushed on me so I'm just going to continue pushing my opinions onto defenseless animals in the most aggressive and barbaric manner possible by literally funding their perpetual suffering and death. I like logic."
We love you Joey, you're using your life to saving potentially millions of others. After going fully vegan 2 years ago, I've had zero regrets, I'm healthier than ever, I have more energy than ever, I feel more connected to the world, less guilty about my actions, and my morals are NOT dictated by my taste buds. (Actually they probably are, because plant based diet is much tastier).
I see those people using as excuse the fact that they "can't find food". I live in a stupid small city, in a poor country, I can't even find tofu in the supermarket and the "vegan products" are very expansive. Even though I still vegan.
I want someone to say “I know animals are couscous beings, but I don’t care cause I like meat. I wish I could kill them myself so I can enjoy the pleasure as watching a living being have its life taken away.” People just don’t say that because morals. People who eat meat shouldn’t say they care about animals and the environment when it’s known consuming meat is a top leading cause to deforestation and desertification when it comes to poaching. The amount of Co2 released from the desserts of Africa because of the lack of life is astronomical. People are sleep
Andrew P I’m with ya but I live on a farm and we kill our own cows and fuck it’s fun aye or when u go hunting seeing the animal drop though your scope it’s fun mate if ya ever get the chance kill and animal I front of a vegan #KFC for da win
the comment from the lady about not finding vegan food to eat in London was insane. I work in London and I'm lazy and I buy a vegan lunch every day - Tesco, Sainsbury's, M&S, Waitrose, Pret, Leon, Subway, Honest Burger, Wagamamma, ITSU, EAT and that's just the big chains, pretty much every place in London has a vegan option!
Joey!! I just want to say that I absolutely love you for your good work! In february I am going to lecture about veganism in two classes in a Swedish "gymnasium". Wish me luck! :)
People I've been vegan and I weigh 140 kgs and 6ft. And I'm a big guy sedentary lifestyle and by blood pressure is normal no cholestrol issues. Non of that.
Really enjoyed your segment on the Jeremy Vines show. He is a good host as he remains impartial and doesn't take sides Even though he cringes at animal exploitation he allows everyone their time. The gentleman sitting in the middle of the panel seemed to be enjoying his food. Good work Joey as always Thank you.
Another great job, Joey!!! That one female panelist who said "why not everything in moderation?" She is completely missing the point. Cruelty in moderation? Ugh.
Maybe it's me, but I think both you and Joey misunderstood what she was saying here. They were talking about the nutritional profile of the vegan junk food. I think she was just making the point that there's room for moderate junk food in a vegan diet, it's doesn't have to be all wholefoods. That's my understanding anyway. Having said that, she wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
Another great TV appearance, I have been an ethical vegan for over 10 years now and have watched you evolve, I would have to say at this point you have picked up the batton and have become the new Gary Yourofsky, I am sure Gary would be proud of how you are conducting yourself and the tone of your message! Well done keep it up!
Well done Joey! You were awesome with Jeremy. Although he also seems more open minded and less of a doucher like some of those other folks from the morning show. You showed respect and still managed to get out like 30 facts in 15 seconds lol, damn impressive. Loving all the content!
I’ve recently gone vegan 7 days! Feeling healthier than ever especially suffering with IBS. I have been taking a B12 supplement aswell as eating foods that contain B12. Now my question is would a multivitamin containing B12 be sufficient enough? I have read that it’s advised for all vegans to consume a vitamin containing iron/magnesium/B12. Would really appreciate any advice!
Congrats on your first vegan week! I should think that taking a multivitamin would be fine for your B12. You should get the app ‘cronometer’ it’s great for tracking your nutrient intake and you can add multivitamins to see how it effects your levels if you’re unsure. Magnesium and iron are easy to get through foods such as oats and spinach but a multivitamin is great if you want to be safe :) What sort of foods have you been eating with IBS? I’d be interested to know as I have a few friends who suffer from it and they always say they wouldn’t be able to go vegan due to their IBS 🌱
Amy Cole Hi Amy thank you for your kind message! Definitely will check the app out! It’s funny meat and dairy products triggered my IBS constant bloating and swelling. I have been eating a lot of carbs pasta bread potatoes but with lots of lentils veggies and salad served with my meals. I haven’t had the pain or bloating considering! I always knew this diet would be the best for my IBS. I can finally enjoy chocolate without the pain Nomo bars are my friend! No regrets! The Gamechanger documentary really shook me up will never look back. 🌱
Don't give your body the extra work just take a B12 on its own. many supplements are associated with poorer health outcomes. If you just eat a well rounded diet full of fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes and wholegrains you'll do just fine for iron and magnesium. A B12 deficiency is not likely to show up until a few years without any B12 coming in.
As long as you are eating a varied whole food plant based diet, b12 supplement is enough. I've been vegan years and a b12 is only thing I've ever taken supplement wise.
I’m so happy you got to prove yourself and get your points across! So many people were accusing you of being aggressive when they weren’t letting you have your say and made you feel wrong. Thank you so much for what you do. I turned vegan years ago and now my nan is vegan and feels healthier than ever at 70. Even my boyfriends family has turned vegan. X
Why cant people realize that to feed the animals of which you wish to eat, you STILL need to grow HUGE amounts of crops which probanly also has pesteside on it to feed said animals, AND take care of their waste, so that meat being more environment friendly than vegetables, is f-ing INSANE.
Joey you are amazing. Thank you for everything you do for the animals. Please stay like you are and keep going. You have lot of supporters and we are thankful to you from the bottom of our hearts.
I have actually warmed to you after initially putting a barrier up. I have to admit I thought you were 'aggressive' but having seen you on a few programmes have seen that you do have a soft and sensitive side. So much so that I have signed up for the 22 day challenge.
My 7 year old son decides he wanted to never eat anything from animals. We all decided to go Vegan with him. Enjoying your videos. If more people saw what goes on they would be vegan too. Its easy for people to say "I know what goes on I dont need to see a video" but they do. I cant imagine ever seeing videos or such cruelty them going and eating a burger or having a glass of milk. Well done for all you do xxx
