So glad to see a fan video of these two loved them as a couple when this show first aired and still do.There was always something so special about them

It was so out of the blue to put Pacey and Joey together. They could have lead a huge relationship with Dawson and Joey but they decided to put Pacey into the mix out of absolutely nowhere. No one can change my mind that Dawson was her soulmate and I cried everytime the got together. :'(

These two were my first ever ship! The show was always about them at its core and I honestly don't believe either of them would be truly be happy with anyone but each other. I was surprised too by the ending. It didn't make sense to me. Yes they both had a lot of maturing to do as teenagers, but I think they could've really worked out in the college/adult years if given the proper chance.. anyway, thank you for this beautiful video. It was a pleasant surprise to see in my recommendations.

i just finished watching it.Im disappointed in the ending i shipped them since the very first ep and im totally shocked they didnt end up together and why not many people ship them

God I’ve never been more frustrated with a show than I was with this one. I liked Pacey and Joey the first time together I felt like that was there time. It should’ve ended the first time they broke up. There was really no reason to keep on dragging just for the sake of a love triangle. Was pisses me off the most is that the point of this show was to demonstrate no matter how far apart Joey and Dawson grew they were always going to come back. Pacey was an important part of Joey maturing but that’s it. The fact that Joey and Pacey ended up together just throws away all of Pacey’s grow. He literally depended his happiness on Joey and everytime they would meet again they were back to square one. I guess the same could be said for Dawson and Joey, but they’re soulmates! A totally different dynamic. I guess Joey and Dawson’s relationship not working out was always blamed on bad timing. Which is why I would’ve loved to see that in the worst timing possible (Jen’s death) they finally realized they could be together. I also hate the fact that they would always make Pacey a loser as long as he wasn’t with Joey like if Pacey was a nobody without her. Joey and Pacey ending up together really made me think Pacey didn’t have any true character development. Dawson and Joey were supposed to end up together despite ALL the obstacles. In my mind Pacey is a successful restaurant owner and chef and he doesn’t see Capeside as this terrible place anymore, Joey and Dawson get married and have kids, both live in New York and continue their careers. P.S. What was it with the show ALWAYS making Dawson’s movies about his life like come on if was so creative he would come up with something better than that. The first time he filmed the movie it was cute, then by the end it was growing tiresome. It was so annoying how they always used the stupid movie/show as a metaphor for the love triangle. And I hated how Dawson and Joey ended up together on the fake tv show like it was supposed to make the Dawson and Joey shippers happy wtfff. Sorry for the long rant lol

I will be honest, the way the writters conduzed Joey and Dawson really pissed me off.

I don't even bother with the final season of this show because they got it so wrong.

Glad to see I'm not the only Dawson and Joey fan out here. So much hate for Dawson himself and them together, I just never understood it. Of course I have several couples I never saw as ones that should be together, like Dylan and Kelly and Damon and Elena, but apparently with a lot of these I'm in the minority. It's just my opinion, but I never saw the chemistry with her and Pacey, I always preferred him with Andie. Great job putting this together, it was amazing. Love the song choice, one of my faves.

They are and always will be my number one couple from a TV series, I grow up by watching this show and this couple will always have a special place in my heart, they made me believe that soulmates exist and I hope to find mine too someday. I never understood why the creator decided to change the ending at the last moment since the original idea was to go with this couple and it would have made so much more sense since this show was built around them (of course not only them), they were its heart and even if I didn't dislike Pacey he wasn't the right person for Joey, at least not someone to build a future with, so in my heart the show ended with: "it's always gonna be you and me soulmates". Thank you for making this wonderful tribute for this special couple 😍☺️

wow nice video! i was also really surprised that they didn't end up together, they were my favorite ship of the series...as much as i like joey and pacey, i was sadly never able to warm up to their relationship. in my heart i'm just going to believe that joey abd dawson did end up together at some point in the future, they are soulmates after all

A lot of us were shipping D/J but the Pacey fans were so loud. (They have a lot in common with Castiel shippers ;)) Dawson and Joey is the heart and soul of the show and I love their special bond. Their last scene together in the finale says it all. I'm sure they ended up together eventually. I still feel for them and it has been great to watch your vid. ❤️

I ship them so bad. I suffer every time I rewatch their most powerful scenes. That relationship deserved so much better. I like Dawson way more than Pacey. I would have stayed with Dawson if I were Joey hahha and for me James is so so cute and Joshua meh. Hahaha can’t get enough of this show.

What Dawson did, the whole story was about the two, I confess I was sad about the end, just because there was a relationship between Joey and Pacey, the script changed, the story, so much that the author said that, Joey just thought on Dawson, and Dawson only thought about Joey, so much so that when Joey and Pacey broke up, the series continued as if nothing had happened between the two, Joey and Dawson had a story together, true love would be Joey and Dawson.

SPOILER ALERT . . . . I will give the sincere opinion of a fan who is re-watching Dawson's creek for the thousandth time. I always watch the show when I feel like it. And now that Netflix has decided to include it in the programming: here I go again. I've always been a passionate fan of Pacey and Joey. But whenever I watch the first and second season, I always rethink my liking. I always thought Dawson was too ultra mega romantic, and so the character was always a bit boring and boring for me. But the last chapter of the first season and the firsts chapters of the second are simply: cute When Dawson finally admits his love for Joey and when they get together, I think he takes on an unparalleled brilliance and beauty. He is a man with grace and who seems to float and show his best on the screens. He is not so much the fool who drooled over Jen and obsessively kept trying to find ways to have the hot girl on his side. With Joey, he seems to have found his home and feels so comfortable in it that even the facial expression is that of a man and not a teenager who is always in a bad mood and frustrated because he is betting on the wrong woman. I think I can stop here, and be thinking about what it would be like if the writers hadn’t turned the character into a stupid person (but anyway I always hoped for the happiness of our dreamer, be it with Joey or whoever it was).

why the fuck weren't Joey and Dawson the ending of this show? i loveeee Placey,! but he was not Joey's soulmate. Dawson was. i know they did a dream wedding for them. it should been real not a dream. Pacey could up with a lot of his past loves. Andy came to mind! it should never have been a Joey and Pacey ending. the show set everything around Dawson and Joey relationship! at least the writers could done was give us a Dawson and Joey ending! especially crying my eyes out when Jen dies! man that was sad! and when Joey said to Jen, I always knew who i was meant to be with! look back season 1 and 2 and a bit of 6. it was Dawson!

Imagine saving her dad’s life, paying for her college and sailing a boat through a storm to rescue her just for her to end up with your best friend…

I think Kevin Williamson tried to tell us that Dawson and Joey will be together. Watch the very last minute of the very last episode. We don't even know whom Joey did choose. She's watching the end of The Creek, directed by Dawson Leery. In the end we see the actors playing Dawson and Joey choosing romantically for each other. Then we see the titles and the camera pens to Joey. And what does Joey say? Indeed. "that was perfect, absolutely perfect" She says the end (Because that is all we saw) is perfect, absolutely perfect. What does that tell us about the end she chose, she directed. In each case that it is not as perfect as the end Dawson showed. I think Joey is expressing her doubts about the choice she made. Then we go further and see Pacey in the room. He saw the end and he heared Joey's valuation. And what is his reaction. He cries. Oké, I know what was said about Pacey's tears. But what does Kevin Williamson tell us by adding the shot of Pacey's tears to the footage. I finally hink Pacey understood Joey's doubts and he is heaving a deja vu where her doubts led him in season 4. Than the telephone call with Dawson. What is Joey her question? Will the be a next season of the Creek? Why? Do you wish the drama isn't over at all and there must be another plotend in Dawson's Creek? More doubts for Pacey and I think he will be showing more of his charachter as he showed in season 4, and at some point Joey starts reviewing the Creek. She will find the outcome as perfect as she does today and suddenly she finds herself on the broken road that leads her back to Dawson. And than at last the music, What do the play at the end of the show as Dawson leaves his office? Say goodnight, not Goodbye. When did we hear that song again? Exactly, at the moment Dawson end Joey finally ended up kissing at the end of season 1. A moment Joey said was her most life altering moment in Coda. An episode that also ended with Dawson and Joey kissing. A kiss Joey described in the beginning of season 5 as a moment she felt herself mere mortal and experienced true greatness. And she had experienced more moments like that, with that boy. Naturally her most life altering moment was one of the moments she referred to. A moment where they played "Say goodnight, not goodbye. And all that within one minute, the very last minute. I feel Kevin Williamson really tried to fill us with hope. Even though Joey begged him not to let her end with Dawson, he just did.

I agree they are and we’re always soulmates, but they weren’t meant to be together romantically. I loved the dynamic of Joey and Pacey together more, and I’m so glad they ended the show the way they did!

I’m watching season 2 and honestly I preferred them as best friends. They are great together, how they support each other, or their talks but I cannot see them as a couple. Season 1 was all about them and this Joey’s love for him , but this season it’s difficult with Joey’s actitude that every single word that Dawson says bothers her, also I only see how Dawson is fighting for the relation.

I love Joey with both Pacey and Dawson however I'm glad that Joey ended up with Pacey. I'm not a Pacey stan or Dawson hater. I love both characters to death. However, Joey and Dawson are soulmates, and there is nothing do two wouldn't do for each other without anything in return. However, sometimes soulmates don't end up together. This was a case for Dawson and Joey. For me I feel like Joey was better off with Pacey, it was best for her and the best for the group. Joey and Dawson, are too much alike, they both have big dreams and goals, but sadly Dawson's dreams were in LA, being a successful filmmaker, while Joey's goals were in New York, being a writer. If Joey pick Dawson then one of them had to give up their dream. I feel like sooner or later they would regret it and it would have ended in a bitter divorce. With Pacey, he is willing to drop everything to be with Joey, no one has to give up anything. Joey may have been Dawson's soulmate, but filmmaking is Dawson's, true love. You see that in the finale, Joey and Pacey are happy in NY, while Dawson is still good friends with both of them, happily living in LA as a successful director, and was about to meet his idol.

Wow, i didn’t expect to see a video of them in 2021! The first time i watched Dawson’s creek I shipped them so hard, but I actually think that they are so toxic as a couple. They know each other too well and every time was a discussion, plus Dawson’s character is also very toxic tbh, so I think they work as friends just fine. Very nice editing tho!!
