Intellectual implies a person who went to university and got degrees and respected in a (legitimate) academic field like psychology not like gender studies or some bs. Intellect implies a smart guy. Not all intellects are intellectuals but all intellectuals are intellects.

That's exactly what he actually is. We look at Joey as a comedian and we learn much from him. So I'm sure there's guys out there that took Joey's stories into mind and applied it to the crime they were committing. I'd bet money on it . Joey's the real deal. Or as close to it your ever gonna get. Its natural for him.
I've been a criminal defense attorney for 40 years. Joey is about 40 % right. Anyone can walk into any American courtroom and sit and watch. I recommend you call the clerk ahead of time to find out when a good trial is going on... say you are a student or writing an article. I recently defended a successful business man in a similar case. There were five complaining witnesses. My defense was consent... for money. "Rape Shield" laws usually prevent the defense from going into a complaining witness' (CW) prior sexual history. However, the defense is not prohibited from going into the sexual history between the defendant and the CW. So... my married client testified how he had paid each of the CW's three hundred a pop for prolonged periods of time and what sexual acts he had participated in with each of the C W's and how often and where he had sex with them. It became obvious after several hours of my client's testimony that the CW's had actually exchanged sex for money rather than having been coerced or intimidated into sexual relationships. Also, three of the CW's were married at the time they were exchanging sex for money with my client. The prosecution couldn't believe I put my client on the stand. They freaked when he started admitting the sexual contact and then he went into the details of the money in exchange for sex details. I prepped my client for about fifty hours for what turned out to be about ten hours of direct testimony and cross. The result was a not guilty in three hours after a seven day trial. My fee was 100G's. As to appointed counsel... nowhere in the US do appointed counsel get 400 per hour. The federal rate is 148.00 per hour... and that's the best rate around. All the women that Harvey had sex with did so voluntary in exchange for money or an advancement of their careers. That would be a more viable defense.

People on the internet kill me. Joey got almost everything he said right here. Joey never said that Weinsein was going to get off. This is what Joey said that ACTUALLY happened: 1. Weinstein fired Ben Brafman, arguably the best criminal defense attorney in NYC 2. Weinstein hired a team of lawyers including a woman, a black man and a middle Eastern. The woman was the lead attorney and she cross examined the witnesses. 3. Because he switched legal teams, it bought Weinstein more time before the trial started. 4. Weinstein was found guilty on the lesser charges but was found not guilty on the most serious charge on the indictment.
Years ago in Liverpool I used to go in the magistrates court and spend a few hours with the best free entertainment you can get. The only thing you have to make sure is you don't burst out laughing or you're done for contempt of court or thrown out.
Sitting in a court gallery is great entertainment. Also helps you realize just how good your life actually is too after hearing the shit that people are in there for loll
I escaped the helicopter on foot. people's problem is when they run behind the building in the light is anonymity more they keep running and pop right back out into the light. take the exact opposite route if the cops are right behind you going to wreck left or right use the awning of the building as cover... I ran underneath the awning of a public bathroom in a park and immediately ran backwards and the searchlight was circling in the middle of the park and I ran past the cops that were chasing me and they looked back and forth to see was I in the spotlight or was that me and I hopped the fence went back into my apartment complex and shot inside the house. Done
I went to a couple of court cases just to watch. It's interesting and mostly hilarious. So many crazy people in the world! Everyone should do it. You gain some knowledge quickly.

Joey's dead right, I'm from Liverpool UK and I used to go to Magistrates court this minor court or go to get committed to the Crown Court, believe me it's as good as a comedy club you don't stop laughing.
its no accident that Gian Ghomeshi hired a women lawyer. She is one of the best lawyers in Canada working a gong show of a case. As bad as that was, the Weinstein case is gonna make Ghomeshi's case look like a walk in the park.
