I’m rewatching dawnson’s creek and this scene is just amazing . I love how right before Joey kisses him he’s willing to walk away if feelings are not reciprocated . Like he’s not going to force her to love him back and then when she reaches for his hand it’s everything. Because she can’t fathom him letting her go. So many feels 🥹

Joshua Jackson is sooo good. So talented at that age - and has gotten so much better.

When the show was airing, I absolutely HATED Joey & Pacey together. Dawson's Creek was my absolute favorite show, and I raged at the show's ending. So much that it soured the whole show for me, and I refused to re-watch it again for many years. Then I grew up, and realized the difference between being a hopeless romantic and being a romantic. Joey & Dawson were, if I'm being honest, pretty hopeless. They did not complement each other romantically at all, quite the opposite in fact. They had a teenage "love", but that's really all it was. Neither of them really had any clue what they actually wanted or needed in a relationship, and they treated (especially Dawson of Joey) horribly in a romantic relationship. They were good as friends, but not as a couple. Joey & Pacey were actually good together as a romantic relationship. They supported each other in the ways each of them needed it, and weren't constantly trying to overshadow, manipulate or control each other the way J & D did. So to the writers of Dawson's Creek, wherever you may be at this point...I get it now. I didn't back then, and it took me awhile, but...I get it now. Y'all made the right choice.

Love this scene!

this show definitely has fillers in every season and unreasonable behaviour across all characters from time to time. even though, the journey leading up to this scene (especially the whole second half of season 3) is nothing but magical and one of the most realistic feeling love stories out there. all the previous stuff with dawson and joey does not compare to this. it's like the whole show is built around joey and pacey being together, and it took 3 whole seasons to unfold. i am glad they ended up together. this is the real deal.
