I'm from South Philly. And the house that I live in, before I owned it, it belonged to an Italian family......... an old married couple who had two sons. One son was a cop, the other son was a soldier for Joey Merlino. The soldier, eventually, got caught up and was ordered to testify against Joey, so, the family sold the home and got out of Philadelphia..... that's part of the reason that I got the house........... TRUE STORY. Joey is a legend out here

Skinny Joey is a legend in the Philadelphia area I met him once in the early 2000s and dude was awesome but you could just feel he wasn’t someone to fuck with. and the few stories I’ve heard about Joey make him more of a legend than anyone I’ve ever met

Much respect for Joey never gave anyone up. In the 90s I was in Fairton,N.J. medium before going to Lewisburg. Stanfa and Vinnie were down below my house. While the Stanfa/Joey feud was going on. Media portrays them as monsters but Stanfa and crew could not have been more cordial. Even sat and ate with them at chow thinking they would tell me to move only to to respect my space and joined me. Dont get me wrong I would never disrespect that crew . Just my experience in the early 90s. Joey was always in the Philly Inquire or Daily papers which made interesting reading and made my bid roll. Love the honesty from Joey.

I’m a Chicago sports fan, but I LOVE that baby blue Phillies jersey. Just beautiful. Makes me think of the late 80’s. Steve Jeltz, Ricky Jordan, Von Hayes, etc.

I will admit this show is legit. One of the best in the genre. Joey is the REAL DON OF SOCIAL MEDIA.. Media has always painted Joey as a tyrant. He seems very normal and seem to view the world just like all of us. Can't wait to see what's next.

I was at a facility in Philadelphia with Joey and his friends I really thought the government was going to tap them out. I saw all the tapes that the government had. It was a bed full of tapes. It was a room full of boxes of papers. The evidence the government came up with was insane. I thought Joey would never walk free again. The craziest thing I remember when we was in that jail together was him and his friends watching good fellas. I said this is crazy! They in trial for there lives and they are watching a mob movie laughing without a care in the world. Joey is one solid dude. Don’t make many like him.
