F**K, my French is crap, mais mon dieu, c'est magnifique, encriable. I don't recall ever hearing this beautiful hymn d'amour expressed in such a way! Yes,of course Madame Piaf is THE chanteusse we all know who 'owned' this piece, and I've shed tears hearing Celine Dion singing it too ..... but, BOY, did I ever feel the hairs on my neck stand up listening to this rendition! Someone in the comments posted, 'stand aside, Mario Lanza' which I personally think is uncalled for. After all, and I'm sure you would agree, he was in a class apart from all others, but I understand you accepting the comment as a huge compliment. For me, however, your rendition IS in a league of its own, unique to your vocal style. I.AM. HOOKED.
@@JoeyNiceforo Praise where praise is due. Incidently, you may be interested to listen to Nana Mouskouri's version of this song which she sings in English. Shes not everyone's 'cup of tea' but as a comedian once said, " She's very tuneful, for a Greek ". It wasn't said unkindly,it's just that Greece,to my knowledge, hasn't produced many internationally renowned singers. Okay, now I will leave you alone, lol,I'm sure you are busy. Have a great weekend.Ciao.
