In twenty years they must have given each other romantic notes or cards. Valentine cards especially. You can love someone but not be in a relationship. After twenty years I’m sure there’s deep affection. I don’t believe her. The money should have at least gone to his grandchildren. They were kids and kids usually, especially as teenagers only focus on themselves doesn’t mean they don’t care or love you.

Personally, I think she genuinely loved Joey Bishop. If she was a gold digger why did she turn down the wedding offer. I can understand cutting out the grandsons and son. As grandsons were old enough to make contact with him. As for the neighbours just because Joey and his wife appeared happy you don't know what goes on behind closed doors. As for the first Rabbi I think he was in it for the money. As for the neighbours what do you know. None of your business. Those closet to Joey knew of his relationship with Nora.

People over a certain age, when making a will, they should have to complete some kind of aptitude test, to establish if they are of sound mind, and understand what they are doing. I have a friend, and he had an aged wealthy aunt with dementia who was in a care home, while there a man she hardly knew, went in with a team of lawyers, and got her to sign a will leaving him everything she owned! Her family only found out after she died, the man was already very wealthy, and her proper heirs would of had to sell their homes to finance disputing the will, so they let him him get away with it.
