I wish Vlad did this interview. Whenever Cavario does an interview its 75% cavario talking, 25% guest. Dude takes foreeeeeeeeeeever getting to his point.
That how Alphabet boys train them too get them get more information, so in guest mind they think they know all the information already,so offer more info with ease.
The art of interviewing is knowing how to guide your guest into telling his best story, while you using the fewest words possible and successfully guiding your guest to the right path
Men should be & are stoic, we suffer in silence. There's nothing more pathetic than seeing a grown man cry, especially in public. I'm not talking about getting a little choked up and rubbing away a couple tears. On those very rare occasions you need to have a cry...be a man and go cry in the shower where no one can see or hear you.(as with everything in life, there are a few exceptions, death in the family...etc)
@@margusmees5720 You go right ahead and cry in front of your girl because of your feely-feels. She'll say it's ok and that you should be in touch with your emotional side. In secret she'll lose respect for you. It's just the way it is.(loved ones dying & things like that are the exception)
Yeah this interviewer is a loser weirdo. Wants to interview people only to hear himself talk. This is the exact opposite of who should be interviewing people.
This had potential to be one of the best interviews but I couldn’t finish watching it because I hate to see a man with such a great heart and story get interrupted every few seconds. I almost made it an hour. I will watch home elsewhere
With the dumbest comments too. Insisting that he HAS to interject with some dumb sht about how he's a gangsta too. Then he jus gets sht wrong wrong LA specific sht. And how bout this dude trying to do a brief intro and then goes on to speak a long azz wikipedia style article. This dude garbage
@theamateurofeverything yeah, since vlad usually only go after people who stories and success already had some type of attention, he need to make sure he does better and more structured interviews, if you aren't trying to be 1st atleast try to be the best
The interviewer is not meant for Vlad interviews. How many plp need to complain to end this? This is a tragedy to waste an amazing interview on this interviewer: he destroyed it
@@clamchoder1386 Technically they started in 1963 as a faction out of Clanton 14 gang. Then broke off on their own later on. 1968 the West side started
This is a solid, humbled, old school brother. I too did a large chunk of time in the joint and I can relate to many of his emotions and concepts. Happy to see this man is home and free.
If someone says he/she doesn't want to touch on a subject like example "Allegedly Mexican Mafia" and you ask a different question same topic and he/she still doesn't want to touch the specific subject, move on.. Dope a$$ interview! A BOXER YOU'RE DOPE, KEEP WORKING!
Facinating testimony! It is worthy of a big screen hollywood film AND should be produced. My Brother, Joey Torres, keep doing what you’re doing. You’re an inspiration to all walks. Like you said, “ You gotta look forward, not backward.” And Mr. VLAD, you’ve had some remarkable interviews on this channel, but this one is definitely in the top 5. And here’s a recommendation, let your interviewees tell their story, without getting interrupted 😊.
For someone who has seen some remarkable interviews on vladtv it's pretty funny that you don't realize this isn't vlad interviewing Joey. But I agree. He was pretty on point with his homework, but he interjects way too often and some of the shit was kind of rude. Like when Joey got emotional and he told him to knock it off because they're gangsters...
It’s not that I didn’t realize it wasn’t vlad doing the interview (which I didn’t, I’d admit), but it’s HIS channel and should reinforce a standard with any of his delegate interviewers.
“Cut that shit out we’re supposed to be gangstas!” You’re not in this dude level not even 1% . I think the interviewer needs to cut that shit out and let this OG feel what he wants
These click bait tittles. Can they do some homework on the questions they ask. They call this guy the founders of 18st. Can they do the math when 18st started and this guys age.
Hey hey now, the most gangster shit in the world is to be vulnerable. It's beautiful to see how touched Joey is by the impact he had on that young lady's life..!
Then why do all of them cry when they get caught? Bro spmethin wrong with u if ur afraid to show emotion, and thats fucked up the interviewer did that, he should send some homies to him and see if they can make him cry, them tell him cut it out
There's a difference between this nobody interviewer and this actual gangster. The first one thinks he's gangsta because he sold drugs, the other one built an entire gang based on brotherhood. The first ones whole ambition was to make money while fcking over his entire community. The second one came together to protect himself and others in his neighborhood from discrimination. Maybe it wasn't in the best way but the first one was built on hate and greed and the second one was built in love and honor. They're not the same. The interviewer dude is a dikhead who has only cared about himself. That's why he's free bc he prob also snitched but I don't care to look up his full bio
Vlad, just watched your interview with Joey Torres. Wow! I've seen a hundred of your interviews and this one touched me. Mr. Torres and I have been in some of the same places. I never thought about this, but I think I would be a great person to interview. I had an awful childhood and was in the juvenile justice system at 14. I I did over 4 and a half years in CYA and 5 numbers in CA prisons. I believe I am the only convict in the USA who has had 2 separate life sentences in 2 different separate cases, under the 3 Strikes Law. I won appeals on both cases by way of my own legal arguments. I think I've been in 17 prisons. Following is a list of some of the infamous men I've met: Tex Watson, the Chowchilla kidnappers, Robert Downey Jr. (I was in a 63 man dorm with him for a year), I have met so many. The one who I believe will be most interesting to you and your viewers is Anton Singleton, aka Big Lurch. I was with him for almost 2 years and did some federal habeas appeals court stuff for him. I know his case intimately. I also have an awesome race story. Growing up in the system a white guy, it was a foregone concussion that I would end up prejudice. So bad to the point where I wouldn't even listen to black artists. Then I found a sister who I did not even know i had who lived near Oakland and liked black men.. I had 2 black nieces. One day I asked myself how I could hate blacks when I have black relitives who are blood relitives? Guess who my absolute favorite artist is? Tupac! I love him and God bless you for all of the related interviews you do. There was a happy ending for me. I finally figured out how to stay free, and I have been free over 4 years now. Anyway, Vlad, hit me up. I would love to be on your show. It would be fun and all of my stuff can be verified. You Rock. PS: Now I know the answer, "Do Dreams Come True". Staring at the world through my rearview. David Earl Schiltz 442.273.7323 .
Did this guy just say “cut that shit out Joey we gangsters” when he started to tear up??? The interviewer should be the main guess he’s doing ALL the damn talking.
Loved this interview. It touched me as a white, female who grew up in a semi-wealthy family on so many levels. I want to learn about ppl and you gave me some insights. Thank you for opening up Joey. God Bless you ❤️
What does being white and wealthy have to do with wanting to watch gang shit on vlad tv. Many people from all backrounds just want to be entertained by vlad tv, nothing more to it
Do you feel better for making that comment? Did you get your "I'm not racist" dopamine fix and story you can share with your other upper middle class pretenders who are all against racism and absolutely not racist but still cross the street not to walk past a group of black men after dark. If you want to learn more about it then take your white ass to (insert preferred and nearest hood here) and report back how things went!
One thing I always wonder about when you see these interviews of guys (it's mostly men) who do long stretches of prison time is what is the difference, mentally and psychologically, that allows some men to do long stretches of prison time and come out functional and some crack and crumble after a couple of years (or even days or months)? Does that make sense? We need to examine the personality traits that allow someone to be that mentally tough. I'm certain these long time inmates have psychological damage, but how do you do 40 YEARS and still remain functional? Wow!
Joey is full of it when it comes to the murder. Dude wasn't his boxing manager or promoter.. he was a junkie who killed a dude to rob him to buy drugs. Joey never addresses calling the victim a different name for years..
He is a man with a big heart ❤️ for children and the path to education success. He stated the Magic words " Education is the key" You have to give this Man his flowers 🌺 🌹 🎉.
Worse interviewer man let the guest tell his own story. Joey is a badass💯I’m an amateur boxer as well and you have motivated me by listening to your story respect brother
18st was never an original barrio . The true history is taken from former LAPD officers reports that state that 18st was booted out of Clanton street which later would become Clanton 14 street, because according to reports they were rejected because they were not Mexican Americans . Once they got booted out they started by recruiting every ethnic race which has made them the biggest gang . True history look it up .
This was an absolutely beautiful interview, I am an educator and taught in a rough part of South Central. This really gave me more power and strength to keep teaching bless up Joey, salute! Keep impacting our youth. 👊
What a peaceful man. People don't understand when you been through so much trauma all you want is peace.... God bless you so much wisdom, peace, patience, humble man. Bless you 🌳 ✌️
Mansion wouldn’t kill nobody 🤔 but the family who believed in him did the dirty work they are still in prison 😳, Manson is a master manipulator very dangerous😮
Morgan was not the founder the organization. You guys keep putting that credit on the man. Although he is a name and a face that's well known. It's like sonny barger he was probably the best known most famous leader of the hells angels. He was not a founder of the club he and others founded the Oakland charter and he was credited with moving the club forward worldwide
Praise God, Joey Torres was able to tell his story 🙏 His pointers in life, his motivation, his intelligence, never giving up on hope, helping those who needed that one word of inspiration & encouragement. Wow, God bless you all, Joey & family. Your story had me intrigued. THANK YOU❤
That’s what I was thinking. 18 st goes back to the 60s. But I guess saying co founding 18 st vs co founding a click give better views. None the less respect to og.
Man OG Needa Too Start His Own Pod Cast Neta . OG Has Mad Escuela To Offer These Youngsters. I'm 27 and This Is The Mentality That I'm Blessed To Have And The Morales I Uphold. He didn’t. He’s taking everyone for a ride. My Tio is second generation 18thST in his late 60’s I showed him this interview and it just made my uncle mad. First of all 18thST started in 65 this cat was only 5 years old. Second he says it started on 7th and broadway and that’s another lie cause 18th started in Pico unión on Arapaho and 18 and they were first called little 18 and the first click wasn’t Tiny winos it was the tiny locos my uncle is from the Malditos which is 3rd or 4th clikck they had. Then my uncle goes turn this BS off. Called his older homeboys mine you I said my uncle is in his late 60 and he’s running a make with his older homeboys and no one remembers this dude.
@dannymendoza4197 I remember the 18 Streeters of the mid-1960s, they were getting their vietnam Draft notices on their last year of high school around 1966 through 1968 time period, I'm saying the ones , group that I knew back then, they'd be in their early 70's by now, the ones who are still around, some didn't get drafted because they served time incarcerated, very few are around from that time frame, Berendo/ Virgil jhs, belmont/ l.a. high I grew up on the west side of dtla, 💥👍🍺
@@berzerker1100 lived on 11th and Alvarado then moved to 6th and Witmer went to Hoover elementary virgil then Belmont . I know a lot of the older guys in their 60’s and down. My uncle is chinPostman and he’s 65 and don’t know who this dude is.
@dannymendoza4197 I went to Hoover st sch. Got to Berendo in 1970, a lot of pleito w the mayates lol..Also, my brother went to magnolia st. Berendo & Belmont, we knew the ppl from Clanton 14 & 18 & harpys the playboys & a few others. Lefty; James garcia from w/s 18 went to Hoover Street school. He was a few years older than me I remember his younger brother Michael, Lefty was shotguned to death in the Ramona gardens around 1973 it was big news then I remember his uncle Edgar, once we and a few others went to Santo Tomas catholic church on Pico & Normandie for Sunday mass ,I lived on 9th st & Westmoreland, as you probably know 9th st was changed to Woods blvd. But I do remember the Older dudes from 18th st 1967- 69 living there as my neighbors they were like 8 years older than me, Rocky/ dopey/ satch/ Hershey/ cowboy/ huero/ crazy- Joe etc.. those guys were Born like 1950 give or take, I was still in Hoover but these older guys lived in the same building as I did, in the mid sixties, memories, just saying 🍺💥👍
Nothing but respect - Old school, old rules - He knows attacking women or kids ain't it. There's a bit of savage in me and I would of backed padre up in that scenario. Life or death.
