Thanks so much for the tutorial, especially the waistband. This is one I've always wanted to do, but it never turned out that pretty. Very nicely done.
Hi..great tutorial..if you tack the ribbon in the back seat your ribbon will never come out...especially great for kids wear..also clear nail polish will keep edges from fraying.. barely dabs the edge..been doing this since childhood...also if you can a dot on the thread after buttons are on keeps them from coming off...

Great tutorial! The only thing I didn't quite understand was as you were stitching the four rows on the waistband. Hopefully, between the pattern instructions and the video I can figure it out. 😀
@Croc Girl I made the jogger pants with my regular old sewing machine, so I also make the waistband with my regular presser foot and this went perfectly! I used the distance off my normal presser foot for the rows. the rows do not have to be exactly the same as Melissa makes them. (I have not placed a ribbon in the waistband). Succes! ☺

Hi Melly thank you so very much for the tutorial for Skye joggers. Can you please tell me what sewing clips you are using I have some but they seem so stiff and not as easy to use as yours appear to be. Again many thanks for sharing your expertise
I am a 68 year old guy who has never done this before, I have made a couple of hammocks, that's it. But I would like to sew a couple of pairs of sweat pants (I got a roll of camo material I would like to use). A simple pair, nothing fancy. Can I use any material? Thanks!
It would depend on the pattern; I'd start with buying a pattern and seeing what type of material is suggested. I don't sell men's patterns, but you might look at GreenStyle Creations for men's sweatpants.
