Join us for days 111 and 112 of our End-to-End hike across the UK where we continued on the South West Coast Path and finally reached St Ives. After a couple of hard days with an injured finger, we now had some great and happy days. The sun came out, I enjoyed the stunning scenery, came across one of the most iconic places on the coast path and found the perfect spot to wildcamp at the beach. I really felt like it couldn't get any better :)
Route:
St Agnes Beacon-Gwithian Towans (14.9mi/24km)
Gwithian Towens-St Ives (11.2mi/18,1km)

Great episode Elli. Impressed once again at your optimistic energy and the way you’ve handled the hiking logistics. Really loving the changing coastal scenery . I know the camera can’t show the huge open spaces and the scale that the seascapes have to offer, but you do a fantastic job with the camera shots. Thank you for sharing your adventure.

Hi Elli & Otto. The sea looked so blue and beautiful, made me want to jump in the car and shoot down there with my Kayak. But then I remembered you film this a while ago and it would be bloody cold there now lol.. Love the way Otto still has loads of energy to play even after a long walk. Take care 😜✌

Thank you so much! It's definitely worth a visit, it's stunning.... But yes, probably way too cold now - I've seen in a Facebook group that it even snowed there a few days ago 😳

The scenery just gets better & better, Elli. Otto seemed to enjoy the beach 😊 What a difficult end to your JoGLE, having to work out the logistics of using buses. At least you got to see some different scenery, sitting high up in a bus. So much of this trek seems to have been about logistics - that part of your brain must have been exhausted, once you'd finished.

:) It really does - I have so much footage of these last days on the path. Everything was just perfect - the trail, the weather, everything :) True about the logistics on the hike. I wanted to make sure to give Otto the food that he's used to but also not carry weeks worth of food for him - that's why I needed to plan ahead a bit and figure out logistics, sending stuff ahead etc. Also on a long hike, things break and need replacing, so there's often times something to organize - especially when it's not that easy for friends/family to send stuff from the EU to the UK... But I didn't mind it because I wanted to make sure that Otto is comfortable :)

Thank you so much :) It was a cinnamon roll and it was delicious :) Hahaha, yes - Otto is VERY talented when it comes to begging for food! Probably learned that when he was a stray dog :)
