Another excellent JMH piece, sung to their usual standard by the TKC. I hope you have some more gems of the superb partnership😁

Note the marvellous soprano soloist Dennis Naseband above all in 3rd movement 6:18 - 10:36. - His superb long tone crescendo after 9:30 reminds of his several similar ones in Pergolesi´s Stabat Mater: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VBRCET1Ma3A.html

It will be more likely that he learned from Durante. Pre-history of the idea for Pegolesi's "Stabat mater" - Francesco Provenzale - "Pange Lingua", Francesco Provenzale (1624 - 1704) - his star student Gaetano Veneziano (1656 - 1716) - Francesco Durante (1684-1755) Litanie della Beata Maria Vergine in F minor) - Pergolesi. Schools are important, teachers and students.

@@stefanstamenic3640 - I don't see what you're talking about. I´m writing about the singing of the marvellous boy soprano Dennis Naseband (b. 1980), not about Neapolitan composers.

The exquisite soprano soloist, whom you hear a.o. in the opening movement but above all in the 3rd (Aeterna fac at 6:18 ), is Tölzer wonder boy Dennis Naseband - the same 12 yo boy who Interprets the remarkable soprano part in Harmut Haenchen´s fabulous recording of Pergolesi´s Stabat Mater. - Listen to that recording here on YT: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-VBRCET1Ma3A.html

@@artfuldodger4850 - I don´t know but am rather sure it is Simon Schnorr. He and Dennis Naseband were used to sing a lot (and thus travel) together - a.o. in 40-45 performances of Zauberflöte!

@@52sport6469 Forgot to say thank you for the information. There don’t seem to be many recordings of Dennis, at least those which identify him, on the system.

This recording is from "Tausendjähriges Seeon" , a 1993 CD by Tölzer Knabenchor with music by old masters who visited the old Seeon monastery and composed music there - apart from J.M Haydn also Adlgasser, Sigelius, Pinzger, Keller and even a young Mozart! One nice piece on the CD is Mozart´s "Offertorium" K.34 which he wrote for a specially good boy soprano in the monastery choir. On ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ufmzHsrknRk.html wonderfully sung by Dennis Naseband.

Imbibing music. Infuses a sense of piety. The flow of the melodic movements is smooth due to the spontaneity of the singers with the purity of the amalgamative orchestration. These devotional scores are rarely heard and badly necessitates popularisation by leading orchestras in the world. Precious pieces. Lt Col Titus(Retd.) Trivandrum, India.
