i must've watched this about a dozen times over the last few of days and this video and this tune are way too cool for anybody to be able to handle or fully understand, i swear it. what stands out most to me is the way Johanna just chats over this giant tune and the wild party going on in the back and only on select occasion does she ever grace this revelry with any purely musical contribution. a queen of the scene, all she does is repeat "de sospendo" (sry if i transliterated wrong!) over the chorus but the way this jam was packed together that's all it takes to take this already-raucous track right over the top. shoutout to the musicians, producers, film crews, and all of pretty people getting together in the comments section to point theyselves out in this clip-- thanks to you for bringing this gem into being, it wouldn't feel the same without any single one of you. and did anybody catch how RICHARD NIXON co-directed this video?! didn't i start all this saying this beat could make a fool out of just about anyone!
Well....IMHO this track/video does not derserve too many compliments....ok..it drives back to sweet memories of that time, the tune has been packed with all the necessary to be a decent hit for that time. But that’s all...it can not be compared to other 90’s masterpieces.
you directed this??? I have different version on the 12" that I L-O-V-E!! Not really even house, just it's own thing. I'll try to find it, you probably have it.
I still have the record in the crates! I didn’t play it as much cause not everyone understood Spanish during that time, but it’s now popular in this day and age. What a good time at the time! What’s her full name by the way?? I just found out Dee Dee Brave passed away 😔😔
Surprised that no one answered you. Released in 1990 on Project X Records out of NYC. I was at this video taping with my best friends/brothers and had an amazing time. Johanna was a class act.. very good person!
