South Africa has seen several waves of immigration from China, with early generations of migrants fleeing extreme poverty at home and newer arrivals seeking business opportunities. Kate Bartlett has the story about Chinese South Africans who have established businesses in Johannesburg’s old and new Chinatowns.

I don’t understand every African country almost have china town. Do the Chinese have African countries town named in their country? I saw yesterday in Kenya two china towns?

Exactly my comment, we rejoice at the diversity but how is this helping black Africa/ns. There are South Asians all over Africa but Indians as a culture are racists. In China Africans cannot just start a business like a Chinese person can in Africa. Yet Black Africans remain inviting to others. In India, they limit Black African economic empowerment and treat African students like shit. Arabification is happening all over Africa when Arab Muslims come they demand conversion to Islam. Then all the managers are arab and the workers are Black African like a slave culture (kefala system) - When do Black Africans get to win!!!!! or reciprocal access to these countries why are African leaders such losers. Except Rwanda, and Burkina Faso- these men are leaders of the future

African cannot afford to live there. and Africa is relatively cheap for them and to open business in a new market. At least they are not killing them and stealing their land like the European though. they giving the native african jobs too. This is probably good for them to provide for their family and the white and black there are very excited to be able to date chinese women.

Because chinese back those day love to immigrants from one places to one places.. because of that, chinese influence too strong until the culture and the poeple been live there from generation until generation.. why chinese town exist it's because to appreciate to chinese people who move here and make a town for them so that they feel like a home
