John Allan's unique style of 12 string guitar playing, picking out bagpipe tunes with a thumb pick and his singing and story telling combined with his quick wit sense of humor made his performances events that will not be forgotten. His early performances on TV, paved the way for many of the Canadian Celtic Musicians that are popular today. John Allan loved Cape Breton, he constantly promoted the beautiful Island in every performance around the world. He was a great talent and a good friend to all who were lucky to have met him, YEEEESSSS !!! was his trademark ' yell ' that portrayed his positive attitude, he is surely missed.
