I, as a straight man, want to see gay marriage legalized in all 50 states and around the world. No one should have to hide who they are and who they love.
I'm glad everyone is enjoying the video of John I took at Dragon*Con. My husband and I have been together for 10 years before we got married in Iowa last year. It's interesting because what he is talking about isn't a "celebrity" thing but a "human" thing. My husband and I have had many of the same experiences in our relationship, buying a house especially. We all want to be with who we love and know that there is security for them when we are together but more important when we are not.
My husband and I have been together for nine years and married for three. People ask me all the time, "do you feel different now that you are married?" The answer is "yes." It gives us a sense of truth. We are about to begin a lawsuit in Louisiana to recognize our marriage as any other marriage would be recognized. I just love this guy!
First of all, it is just so wrong that this man is 46. And looking like that? And then to hear him talk about his marriage, the first time I watched this, I had tears at the end. I have been a huge fan of John and his talent for years. But as huge a fan as I am of his work, as a person, as a man, he is light years beyond that. Thank you John and may you and Scott continue to be as happy as you have been and continue to bring hope and help to so many of us.
Would someone please make correction to the caption -- it's garbled (take a look at the transcript). I couldn't understand what John said because I'm Deaf and depend on accurate captioning. Thank you.
