I would love to see John Barrowman sing "I dreamed a dream" solo. I bet he would do the ultimate job and capture, what I think, is the most gut wrenchingly lonely song ever written.
WHY is noone commenting on mica paris she was amazing she can sing so amazing and looks effortless to her loved her version of memory fantastic the rest a shite x
@dramakinghull it was Jill Halfpenny :) look her up, she's AMAZING! :) although personally i think tell me it's not true is slightly too high for her. Manageable, but still to high
the ending is great! all of it is. i can't get it out of my head that the young blonde bloke is that one from S Club though - i'm not even sure that he is, i just can't tell and it's really getting on my nerves. please can someone put me out of my misery?
To say that I'm not a fan of the grants would be a bit of an understatement, but everyone else was great :-P I was very happy to hear seasons of love, but the choreography... was that really necessary?
As with all musicals, some people will like one number and another not. I wonder who chose how these songs would be arranged? Some, like "Seasons of Love" from RENT would have been better left the way they were written (could just be that I had a direct connection to the original show from casting to the final trip to Broadway so I might not be objective), the same with "Memories" though. Both wonderful songs had odd arrangements. I do have to say that "One Day More" from Les Mis was incredible.
having seen this video again i don't think the woman singing Tell Me It's Not True has the right voice for it. i saw Blood Brothers with two of the Nolan's playing the part of the mother and they were fantastic. Blood Brothers is one of the best musicals i have ever seen. Great!
I'm personally not a fan of John Barrowman in One Day More. He sort of, swings his head around a bit too much and makes it look like its his song, when there are a load of other amazing voices singing with him. Ruthie Henshall is amazing though :)
