@UnaiVillares-cu3mq yeah that’s still betraying. I’m sorry to say but that is whether you like it or not it is just like he did him back to him. Let’s face the facts buddy.
I started playing rdr1 after rdr2. Seeing the old gang after seeing their origins how they used to be just adds a whole new layer of depression over everything
Bunch of stuff about Javier: Javier's actor desperately wanted the character to side with John, Charles, Sadie, Uncle and Arthur at the end, however because of the events of RDR1 he wasn't able to make it happen. Javier is one of only three characters who stopped to check on Lenny when he is shot, the other two being Charles and Arthur. We see in the first mission on Guarma that he'd rather sacrifice himself to save the rest of the gang, showing he had compassion for them all. Javier's fate is sort of unknown, you can either kill him or turn him in, where if you turn him in it's questionable if they lock him up or have him hung. Overall, Javier is supposed to be in a somewhat middle ground between both sides, he wanders over behind Dutch, however he doesn't necessarily fight with Dutch, and reflects on the decision to ride with him negatively.
He doesn't aim his gun and just awkwardly stands on one side having no clue what's going on or what led up to this standoff, and iirc he isn't present at all during the rest of Chapter 6 after that.
@FieryVigil He does aim his gun at them when the Pinkertons are about to show up in the scene Everyone always ignores that, he has his gun pointed up at the beginning yes but he does eventually aim at Arthur and John
@@FieryVigil Same, I don't recall him taking aim at all, and the actor flat out said he refused to take aim because it wasn't in Javier's character. IF he took aim, it must have just been the model resetting to pose with the other characters.
It’s crazy to me that Javier is voiced by the same guy. What an unbelievable job he did molding Javier into such a deep character the second time around.
Rdr1 was a good game on it own. After playing rdr2 everything just hits so much harder and it elevates it. The Red Dead Series will forever be the greatest games every made😊
Honestly i think Javier was just scared. He didnt really want to be with Dutch but Micah's words manipulated Dutch and then Dutch manipulated Javier. Javier got brainwashed
People are going to reply to this saying that he didn’t aim his gun at Arthur, but what they don’t realize is that he does aim right at Arthur just at the last second
Javier was neutral in the end of rdr2 he wasn’t never against John that’s why he just let him live instead of killing him (these replies are wild💀,keep ‘em comin)
@@Zy444Wrong he was with Dutch when they left John to die after he got shot off the train, also if you carefully watch the cutscene again, Javier does point his gun at John and Arthur once the pinkertons show up
@@TheAbbeyoftheEveryman ok that was a quick moment it’s not like he tried to shoot John when given chance or talk badly about him within his final moments unlike bill did
You missed the part where Javier was like we were family and John said we were family till you and Dutch went crazy then suddenly family didn’t mean so much anymore. Javier betrayed John and Arthur first.
The thing I noticed as well from this clip is they cut the entire conversation that John and Javier had making John seem more of an asshole than a guy who’s trying to get his family back and they made Javier seem like more of a good guy both were really really bad. They both went out of their way and they killed people they didn’t like. But again, I betrayed John
When rdr 1 came out I was 34 i believe and I loved the game. When rdr2 came out I was 42 and i also loved that. After that i replayed rdr1 and it was a whole different experience, in a good way
@@noo5400in last Arthur mission! And don't tell me that he didn't betray, that he was aiming at the sky, but at the last moment you can clearly see Javier aiming at Arthur!
If i well know the capture of Javier Escuella is very simillar to the final capture of Augustine Chacon. Betrayed by friends and hanged, at least he had some of the most badass last words i've have ever seen. In his grave it is wrote "He lived life without fear, he faced death without fear. Hombre muy Bravo (Very brave man)".
Javier sided with Dutch and Micah at the end of RDR2 though, he left John and Arthur. Even after Dutch admits to leaving John to die Javier still sides with him. Charles and Sadie were the real ones.
Bill was with Arthur when John was shot off, he is surprised when John turns back up. You could argue Bill was betrayed by John although I'm not sure I'd go that far.
@@martinford4553he viewed john as a snake for the entirety of chapter 6 and had no problem turning on him at the final stand off, i don’t think such argument exists.
They betrayed Arthur not John imo. We don’t know if they knew John was alive after he was shot at the train job cuz John only calls out Dutch. By the time Hosea was killed Arthur had so much respect he could’ve outed Dutch as the leader unofficially
And I don’t think so many people care but when Javier looks like he puts the gun up for 1 second u can see he is aiming at Arthur showing he was not aiming his gun up just a fact
The actor literally said he was the one to put his gun up it wasn't in the script he just thought his character wouldn't aim a gun at his brother's even tho his character in rdr1 contradicts that
John no traicionó a Javier, Javier traicionó a John, ya que se puso del lado de dutch, por más que no les haya apuntado con su arma eligió el otro bando.
Javier was a coward. At the end of rdr2 he had his gun pointed up and stepped aside to simply see who won had the shootout happened. Great character clearly did his job by creating the conflict about whether he was good or bad.
Javier actually wanted to team up with John and Arthur in RDR2, but he couldn't because of the events in RDR1. So, in the scene when they all are aiming guns at each other, Javier aimed his guns upwards.
@@RedRabbitEntertainment I know. However, RDR2 came after RDR1 game production wise. That being said, Javier's voice actor knew he couldn't side with John and Arthur so he decided to be as non hostile as he could. Do you know what I mean?
Javier was where the game felt like it changed for me in the first game cuz he didn’t really wanna fight or kill John he was protecting himself if you look at it outside of being John as the player Javier still saw him as a brother
Rdr1 wasnt that heartbreaking before rdr2 was launched cause we didnt know the backstory but now naw it hits hard man im thinkinh of the time when ima finish rdr2 and start rdr1 i hope i wont be crying till then
cuz in my own opinion Javier did not deserve that he was all ready having a hard life Javier met Dutch stealing Chickens for food and he was wanted in his own country Im kinda sad that his character dies in the end
The first red dead redemption was something else, I remember when it got released. Me and my friends would always talk about it nonstop in school. And when undead nightmare came out, That’s all we played for months because it was so good and it was something new. Ill never forget the memories red dead redemption has made for me
My friend Javier made the psychological move described in Robert B Cialdini's book The Psychology of Persuasion (not popular culture) and said "if you were in my shoes you would do the same for me"
but I mean tbh at the start of the game when you hafted to save John, Javier sighed and looked as if he didn’t want to save John. But idrk if I’m right with this or not but people say Javier didnt point his gun at Arthur and John, but he did. You see, if you look closely at the end of the cutscene where everyone points their guns at Arthur and John, you will see Javier pointing his gun too.
The mission our best selves, javier wasnt even on the train he was riding his horse with dutch, micah, joe. when the train guard shoots john, he goes to check john with dutch and micah and joe, So he must have known john was alive, also if john was unconscious, if javier didnt hate john, javier must likely would have carried john to camp and he didnt, also After the cutscene where arthur and john and dutch with the rest of the gang face off, when the part where the pinkertons shoots a warning shot we can see javier pointing at john and arthur with his revolve, so nope john had everyright to kill javier, If you paid more attention to the game you'd know that
Im gonna have to go back and replay red dead after all these years. I beat it as a kid but since the second one takes place before the first game itd actually line up better now
