Powerhouse 2010 performs their "Alice in Wonderland" themed set at the Fairfield Crystal Classic, March 6, 2010. Directed by Brendan Jennings Choreography by Marie Gutierrez, Jen Oundjian, and Jason Myhre.
um, i cant believe that they can do such an absolutely phenominal job every year! "run" and "the pretender" are definitely my favorite numbers by them (from multiple years)
wow... my friend had told me to look at this show because im a HUUUUGE Alice fan... and i didnt want to because i didnt want to judge this group because i always think that ill "dislike" something because i LOVE the original people try to pull off... but i must say... AMAZING... really really amazing... i wish i could have seen it in person...
finals i was there and daytime the girl at the end had no prob getting out of the black cloak thing and at finals she did, thats the only way i can tell.... but its so amazing!!!!

@enchantingerica It's a curtain made up of lots of tiny LED lights that can be rolled up or folded for storage and shipping. It's controlled by a laptop and any image can be displayed on it... the most important part is that it is manually operated so that changes can occur according to the music (which is live and at slightly different tempos for each performance). It is a very cool device. :)
@vivalanettiebettie It's from the musical Hair called "Let the Sun Shine". Burroughs Powerhouse had performed songs from Hair for their Burroughs on Broadway show late 2009. The Oprah people asked them to sing a song that the Glee cast also knew so they chose that song.
@sxystar41,Babaluya2, and vivalanettiebettie: the song is called "the flesh failures/eyes look your last/let the sunshine in" and it's from the musical Hair. We did sing it, in our broadway themes show in october, however it wasn't a part of last years set. @Hpfanlcg The chorus line goes: "cool breeze, sunshine, teardrops, of the clown. girls: move, guys:move, run. Run. Run."
she comes in during the clapping portion after the "card" clump with the soloist in the middle. and she lies there with a black blanket hiding her in the dark.
To be honest, my favorites were center grove's. I love Powerhouse and their costumes, but I think center grove's were beautiful. How JB didn't win and Center Grove didn't place second still has me puzzled.
if anyone is from burroughs i d liek to know that song yu guys sang on oprah with the glee cast. the one that goes like."let the sunshine or let the sun rise" ahah idk but i wanted to know if yu have it one any youtube videos.i think it was from last years set im not shure.but i remeber yu guys singing it at competiton.
During Run, what is every one saying behind the soloist?? When they are saying a word and get louder. Sunshine teardrops. al the time?? move?? ....?? Run. run. run.?? Somehing like that. I can't understand that.
Ok. That was crazy. For most of this, I'm like "what in the world are they doing????" a bit strange, so I can understand why Attache beat them here, especially since it's in the Midwest. But that is a CRAZY ending!
@YoItsJourdan Hahaha actually We didn't have our director that day lmao so it didn't turn out that well, my director had to go back to Kansas because her step father had died and she needed to take care of her mum. Well, every competition will have rude kids haha it's undeniable. Oh what school is that, that's harsh, but yeah that's messed up. A friend of mine from Burroughs intermediate group thinks my school's set is boring haha. T_T It's a traditional set.
