I am really confused how this channel ended up in my subscriptions, I literally never even watched it. I promise I wasn't drunk 😂 but now I'm hooked so guess it all worked out!
A great first start, Jay. I look forward to future episodes of this series. It's funny how things like history get really interesting once you get out of school, probably because nobody's trying to kill you with detail and the focus is on the big picture instead. Also, I didn't know there were female pirates, so I learned a thing or two as well.
Me too and I was like isn't that Jay's voice from Drunk 3PO? It was a lovely surprise and we love the videos! (Jay, our family met you at the Orlando Comic-Con, we were one of the many families wearing your Welcome to the Rebellion shirts.)
@@youdontknowmyname211 nope were in canada. she has 4 brothers in england and 3 of them have the rackham last name. my wife did as well until we got married
How do u know she descends from Rackham? The only child I'm aware he had was with Anne Bonny. Some sources say they had two. But what happened to the baby or allegedly two kids is unknown.
@@jamiemohan2049 her oldest brother did the lineage and found his history and then his siblings. None of them knew about each other except 2 of the brothers had the same mom all the other's have different mothers. My mother In law did her schooling in England taking nursing and that's where she met my wife's father. They even have a skull and crossbones flag
I think this is great! Reminds me of Josh Gates from Destination Truth in Discovery. I've been a fan of Indiana Jones that's why I love these kind of things.😄
Is RU-vid suppressing this channel? Because I searched the name word-for-word and it did not show up in the results. Anyway, you've earned another sub.
there’s some misinformation here, notably the Jolly Roger has no real historical presence outside of a fiction storybook from the 20th century about Jack Rackham, and Jack did accept a pardon in 1719, and while trying to go legitimate met Anne Bonny, who he began an affair with (she was married), after this affair was learned of by her husband, the two left with their own crew and Calico Jack was back.
I agree with you. This was the first video of the channel. I used two different sources. Now after reading about 15 different books there is so much more to tell. Also, depending on the book you read the information is different. I’ll be updating his story and bringing videos on top facts and the sources.
I'm like a minute in this seems like what the inspiration was for the story of assassins creed 4 cos you meet vane and rackham and theres a guy called rogers who tries to pardon all the pirates lol
