Always like hearing Cena talk. He has a genuine passion for the business. Absolutely loved the Dr of Thuganomics character, but he's still excellent now. I'll agree with many when we start dissecting his character, but when pitted against certain superstars, he's brilliant. He's a good wrestler, which is evident, again, when paired against the right guys. And, he's fantastic on the mic.
Too bad he's a traitor and sadly a submissive puppet of the CCP. He showed his true colors when his greed for money came before his patriotism and morals.. I used to be a fan myself, but the disappointment is impossible to ignore.
I have to give him that, he speaks with a passion about WWE that is actually touchy. Love him or Hate him you do have to respect him for what he has done for the WWE.
80’s early 90’s wrestling was awesome! My father and grandparents are big fans of the survivors series wrestling every year until they are passing away. I love to spend every thanksgiving watching survivor series wrestling with them and they love it and hulk hogan was a star for them.
By himself? Of course he's talking by himself, he doesn't look like a puppet being controlled by someone does he? So he does talk by himself. But he's talking to a talented athlete, John Cena.
he seems to be an advertisement machine here, especially in the first half. I like the man but I wish he'd relax and let his genuinely charming personality take over
Clorox Bleach are there statistics to back that up? Genuinely curious about that. I can definitely see it being the case; it was huge and everywhere (merch etc.) when I was a kid.
i was an attidude era fan.. pretty much stopped watching when they started pushing cena... not because of him.. but i just fell out of love with wrestling..
KalvinEllis I know but there was a time when wrestlers went on TV and were just there because they were great wrestlers that people wanted to know more about. I'm not picking on Cena just cos its Cena but literally the entire "interview" is an advertisment. Virtually every word is in an effort to promote WWE. What happened to just going on a show and talking about shit, life whatever. It wouldnt surprise me one bit if Cena turned out to be a cyborg.
GeneticMasterpiece1 Haha, I like the last sentence. As for the rest, the business is just different, man. I miss the genuine aspect of it too, I do wish John Cena sounded in interviews more like an actual person, than a walking talking billboard, but as the face of the promotion his job is to sell the product. And since he is the guy in the main spot, he is going to try to be politically correct in any way, shape or form. The company desires to overpromote that clean cut image of their programming and Cena is the main representation of that, this is why he will say what he is told to say, not what he feels like. I'm sure as a person, Cena probably disagrees with a lot of the company's policies but he's not paid to speak his mind. Though, there was some rumor a while ago that Cena lashed out at Vince in front of everybody backstage and told him he was completely out of touch with the audience.
KalvinEllis Cena lashed out at Vince? Now that I would like to see. I do have to admit that since Cena got beat by Lesnar the last time, I haven't had that much of an issue with what they've done with him in storyline and how hes been used on the show. So perhaps things have started to turn with how they're gonna use him in the future.
John Cena "The WWE Network is launching Feb 24th I wanna be specific about that." It's like you're watching your boss teaching you how to sell a smart phone.
I would love to see this on CNN still, why did CNN decide to let King go. I don't get it. Surely he's better than whatever they have now, I'm not even sure what it is, because I don't watch it much anymore. Aside from a breaking news event, Larry King was one of the only reasons to turn on CNN. The interviews were legendary. Can't get better than King, CNN really dropped that ball but bad.
Danimal300zx So, it's basically to advertise to the rest of the world how extensive your vocabulary is? I use the word "absolutely" quite frequently. Must be due to my limited vocabulary, right? xD
How on earth did John Cena redeem himself all of a sudden?? I remember wrestling fans and non wrestling fans hated him so much and now he's cool all of a sudden
+Jerome khan Well, for a big portion of 2015 he kind of stepped down for a while. He wasn't in all of the main events or world title matches, as he was before. He won the United States title and defended it every single week for months and months in solid matches against awesome wrestlers, and I think a lot of people ended up appreciating that. During one of these matches he broke his nose, worked through the injury and came back two weeks after reconstructive surgery, and kept going without missing a beat. Many fans gave him credit for it. Of course he still got a lot of shit from haters this year like any other, but at least for awhile it felt that he was truly doing something fresh and new, and it clicked with many people.
@@KalvinEllis funny how John Cena carried WWE since 2008..And people blame him for winning most matches..He is the top face so he needs to win most matches..Plus he was not shoved down our throats..He proved his talent from 2002-2006
As a person, John Cena deserved everything a man need but his talent as a wrestler is not that amazing in my eyes. Doesn't change the fact that i respect Cena as a person very much.
I agree. I never understood his character and the so-called rapper and flashy colour armbands etc? He does good work for charity and seems a cool guy in real life!
Justin England What is there to figure out? He likes rap/hip hop and found he could do it. No difference than Dwayne learning to play guitar and they have the "Rock Concert" on Raw or Smackdown. He had the chance to record a rap album or two and it was written into his character. Yet people don't question Taker being the "Dead man walking"? The characters aren't made to be the person playing them but over the top larger than life.
NovaScotiaNewfie I think people can figure out and understand the stuff you describe just fine. It's not comprehension that's the problem. Its that once you do comprehend it, it still seems silly and cartoonish. Yes, more silly and cartoonish than the more outlandish characters because they're not grounded in reality.
xNFR I like you! Honestly,it's why I am surprised. I guess I am judging here...but I expected Larry King to be against homosexuality given his age, among other things, but I was pleasantly surprised!
+LegitForEverything When you say CHOICE (meaning it differs from person to person depending on the opinions/perspective), you are not in a position to call it UNNATURAL, or even a SIN. Because, then you are simply being Biased or Partial towards, say a Homosexual person, considering your idea/judgement about Homosexuality are based on your Choices and Opinions. I don't care for what you belief is. But everyone can behave the same, and claim only their Beliefs to be the True one. And then everyone will be a Sinner for one thing or the other. Simply because people can't agree to the fact that Multiple Opinions can co-exist without Hatred/Unnecessary "DEBATE" in this case.
You have to understand, for most americans there is only the USA. That`s the world. All the other billions of people, cultures, sports, histories it`s all nothing. It`s only USA BABY YEAH!!!
Not really, Mystique, correct me if I'm wrong, but I think your point is that he uses steroids. I don't know if he did before, but from what I learned in med school, if he had used steroids since then, he would be dead by now.
