Surprisingly good actor in general too. He's part of why Bumblebee is the only truly good Transformers movie. He plays a relentless military badass, and it's not even an overwhelmingly big part of the movie (mostly it's just Hailee and Bumblebee), but even in that small part you can tell he's smart and sarcastic, and that he genuinely cares and is trying to do the right thing. He makes what could be a very flat generic military commander villain caricature into an actual character that you can identify with. It's honestly pretty impressive.

I don’t think anybody hates him, I think that’s pretty bold to say. But I think I can say that a lot of people Couldn’t care less one way or the other. Just because he’s your idol, doesn’t mean he’s everybody else’s. I think he’s a meathead who got popular in wrestling and tried to change himself Because he got an opportunity in Hollywood, much like Dwayne Johnson and so forth. It’s a “bandwagon” thing. But to each is own.
