John Cleary PK Irish Lights (RIP) - Inishtrahull Lighthouse early 1960. Inishtrahull is an island about one mile long lying six miles north of Malin Head. Inishtrahull Lighthouse is the most northerly Irish lighthouse. Together with the light on Tory Island it forms one of the two main landfall lights for shipping from the Atlantic rounding the north coast of Ireland and, in addition, provides a guiding light to coastal shipping and fishing vessels.
