I see people are mis-interpreting what 'mwengu' means. Mwengu is a piece of cloth traditionally worn under the skirt to hide the front part of a woman's legs where there was a gap left by muthuru. Muthuru was the larger skirt. Mwengu is almost like 'kamithi'
