Andrew, thanks for sharing!! Glad you were able to take the time to play and take us along. I would guess you were around 8 or 10 years old when you helped taking that to the local show. Glad it left a memorable impression on you and were able to gain posession of it.

I'm thinking about resurrecting an Allis Chalmers All Crop 66. It won't have a corn head but I'll be able to thrash oats and rye. One of the down sides of going with 30 inch rows is I'll be pretty much limited to a 4400 or 4420 or a 325 New Idea with a shelling unit which is probably the route I'll end up taking just because of cost and easy maintenance. I worked for a guy who used a 324 picker sheller. Even after I quit working for him i was there running his picker or sheller every fall. The 4020 Power Shift is what we used on both pickers. Sometimes I borrowed it to shell my corn. I had a 730 diesel which handled it good but I wouldn't have wanted anything smaller on it. My 730 had more snot than the 3020s i was accustomed to using. I really enjoy seeing this old equipment running. I really enjoyed using some of it myself and I know i will enjoy picking ear corn tomorrow. Hopefully it will be a nicer day than the drizzle we have been getting for the last two weeks.
@@andrewssoundsofthepast110 I've got a 7000 four row set for no till. I just grow about 15 to 20 acres. Enough to fill a couple of wire cribs for freezer beef. If I really wanted to grow 60 to 70 acres it wouldn't be a big deal. I don't work any of ground up and I don't run much fertilizer though the planter. Anymore acres than that and I would want to go to a six row as well.
The scour clean was really nice, ... when you needed it. I'm not too familiar with them. I believe some people would use it to collect hay seed like timothy or clover (or weeds). Could you bypass it or remove the screen for corn? Or does that just dump everything into the fines?
I love the videos and am actually working on my own tractor. It’s a 4010 diesel and was wanting to put a turbo on it. How exactly to you get the exhaust manifold machined?
