Somewhere my grandpa has a picture of a set of mules pulling a side hill harvester. He farmed just north of Touchet on his dads farm. These things are an amazing reminder just how far we've come in the last 80 years.

Awesome to see the old combines working. There are still some scattered in the hills around where I live in southeast Idaho from 60+ years ago when they were parked.

That old 9u brings back memories. County motors that would lose a cylinder pain in the ass heavy to pull off. Nasty job pulling off the rear cover to adjust the wet clutches black nasty 90 weight

I'm going to really try and remember about this event for next year. Our little antique equipment show here in town has the old stationary thresher that they run but these pull types are awesome! Thanks for another great video sir.

Cool shit! This is far more vintage than I would've thought. I've seen a couple of these sitting in fields over the years, did not know they were harvesters! Would have much preferred to have been out there as well vs the BS I ended up having to deal with that day.

Right? Yeah, aside from Brians self propelled, there wasn't many machines newer than 1955! I think Antique would be the word, and maybe not vintage. haha.

So my grandpa was born in the 20s and he used to ride on the back one older than anything you’re showing here where he sewed the sacks and dropped the sacks down the shoe and they landed on the ground and he told me he could sell two sacks a minute That was all made during the depression and wood was cheaper than iron. Love the video you just don’t see them like this anymore. We have a couple of those headers sitting around the property.

1975 my relatives came to Washington from Iowa that never been to Washington and they've never done or seen hillside cat work or combines did self-leveling. Took one of them to ride on a 6602 they about s*** their pants .😂😂😂

That'd be awesome! A lot of people seem to turn out for it. Hundreds probably visit on the first day. There is a fee to enter your own machine, but for the most part it is free I believe.

@@charlestibbey2666 That would be awesome. They let a guy ride on them as well if he wants. I didn’t m, but i may next year. It goes for all day saturday and then a bit on sunday morning. Yeah, but you know me…im wondering where the hills are. The real ones. The ones these were designed for. Out here in the Touchet River Valley would be a great place for an event. Someone said i can go record them cut on some steep stuff if he can get his pull behind combine working
