We thought last week was it for wheat... well, we were wrong. We had to finish up some custom harvesting for a neighbor and we had a couple strips of our own wheat that I wanted to harvest with the John Deere 40. I love breaking out the old "mini machine" even if its just for a couple passes. We are actually done with wheat... I think. Thank you for watching and remember, It's a great day to feed the world!

The smaller head comment 👍🏻my father was a farm they always ran smaller heads so they could move down the rd with the head attached saves a lot of time when u have a bunch of smaller fields close together and not alot of help

I agree, and I can get through field openings without taking it off. Feeds nice too in tough straw and soybean conditions.

As always great video! Dad had a JD45. It was involved in my first farming accident at the age of 4. I fell off the platform & sliced my right leg open from ankle to groin. The muscles came off the bone. I got 135 stitches from the deal & a bum knee.

We had a jd40, samples were so clean. We did not even clean the seed for the next season. But man I hated that combine. But in the mud with duals and 45 wheels fitted to the rear. We ran where tracks on 45's and 55's were getting stuck.
