Now that is a true love for framing ,to be planted in your own field when you pass away ,,that man must been great guy to have his kids spread his ashes doing what he loved ,great video bud
I love watching and great to see Grandpa, Dad and the boys all working the farm together. The future is in good hands from the looks. The drone stuff is so good too, thanks.
Your a big operation but you don't act like one. Nice to see you clean up around the rock and the little slice that was missed. Taking pride in everything you do!! Big operators by me wouldn't waste the time that's just not right. Nice job Jr. and Andy
Thank you Andy. You always post top notch videos and you really show the pride you have in your work. Thank you for keeping food on the table and milk in the glass. 🥛
Thanx for sharing. You've got yourself one great young man with you there. I'm amazed at his knowledge of farming and equipment. Stay safe men and God Bless.
Thoroughly enjoyed this video. I’ve done a lot of farming thru the years but I’ve never seen cutters front and back of the tractor. Really neat. Thanks for the video. 👍👍👍❤️
I'm impressed with how fast you seem to go! I would hate to think how long it would take to mow that hay with a WD 45 Allis pulling a 10 ft Haybine! That's what I used the last time I mowed hay for my Uncle about 47 yrs. ago!
The new way of cutting hay looks so much easer when I was growing up we used a Hey bind and had no satellite to drive of 1986 to 2020 how farming has changed. Great video
Great to see some mowing and I also like hearing about the farms and their stories. Thanks a lot. It would be nice if possible to see some more of the actions before chopping, like mowing and windrowing.
Nice one Andy and Andrew ! I did nt realise Pottinger mowers were available in US..Good mowers but hope the parts are cheaper for you guys there than here in Europe 😉
Another great video thank you Andy. Sorry to hear you’re going into a drought there. We just came out of a three year drought here where we are in Australia. A lot of other places had on average a seven year one. For us we usually get around 60 inches of rain annually. Last year we got 8 inches total. Was the worst in living memory. Alfalfa (they call it lucurne here) was the only thing that pulled us through for feed.
Nice. Love the KW... yes, your paint scheme.. chopper. paint shop. post 2nd harvest. paint it black, red snout and spout. Another great late supper time video..
Your video was a nice peaceful way to wind down the day. I always enjoyed mowing hay. Enjoyed the smell of fresh cut alfalfa. The only bummer was if I ran into a cat, rabbit, pheasant, or some animal hidden in the hay. Not a good outcome for them.
u sure wouldn't of been going that fast with a sickle bar mower of the old days.lol. jeepers i would lfew off the old tin seat for sure. i rode a lot hrs for my pap, had to manually lift the cutter bar at the end of the rows with them. i sure liked the video-so thank u!
Great video Andy and by no means goofy. I love your channel and keep the great videos coming. I would love to see some photos of the Kenworth truck as well. Thank you. Tony
Over here in Cow Hampsha those skips are called "holidays" In order to be a safe mower you have to leave one close to the road so that as the mowing inspectors drive by o check on you they can see your error at a glance instead of having to really crane their necks and maybe get into a wreck. Mow safely!!
Lot's of pull type tine conditioner Pottinger's around here and are well liked and a few thousand cheaper than others. Good to see junior is potty trained now. Lol
I would love to bale that field In small squares. Looks beautiful. I like that mower setup 30’ a pass. And I feel in high cotton mowing with 2 tractors and cutters this year 20’ a pair lol
We run a set of agco mowers with the tine conditioners, we have it on a 220hp tractor but 180hp would run it fine. The front doesn't follow the contours like those pottingers do though.
Very pretty place! Andrew my want to build a house there one day. When do y’all go back to school? You going to miss Andrew being around all day! Thanks again for sharing Andy!
Its been dry as a popcorn fart in lower NY. The farmer was baling next to us and it didn't take long from the time he cut it to the time to bale. It looked like you could set it on fire in the field it was so dry
I love goofy hay cutting videos! Ok the question - what are your pros and cons with using a triple mower vs self propelled windrower? Thanks for another video and Bubb, we'll keep watching.
Great Video Andy. I bet the self propelled JD is a little underwhelming compared to one you used, eh? Did I see a Millennial Farmer hat on Andrew? Looks good! Zach will be proud! When Zach visited was about when I started watching your channel. You can blame him for my hanging out here Andy!
hay guys i don't know if you have ran a 7920, i'll tell ya if y get a chance to run one for a while, or get you one, you wont be disappointed, they will walk all over them 7930, they are full framed the motors wow you would not think so but they are a nice little big tractor, that's all i can think of to explain it is ''it's a little big tractor'' and it's just the right sizes for planting corn, or mowing or anything like that, it's a great little tractor to spreed manure, i mean i had one, the guy i worked for bought two of them, and we have the 30 to but nobody wants to run the the 30, they all want 20's i don't know y the dealer ships push the 30's cause the 20's are twice the tractor, truly !!!!! just say'n !!!!!
As fast as you can go and as nice as your mowers are is mowing still the most time consuming part of making silage ??? Is it common to mow one day and chop the next ? Thanks for the neet drone shots !!
Will you make silage with this? How long will it sit in the windrow before the chopper comes along.? Or maybe it's for hay bales? We always swathed right infront of the chopper. We found if it was left to dry, it became difficult to pack in the silage pit.
Seems like you are running really fast nice. You don’t normally post about spraying or fertilizer. The corn seems a little short did you do soil samples or plant samples? Guessing it’s cost because you chop it up. Anyways great video
