I don't have any to film and most of the planting has been completed. If you have ever eaten planters peanuts with the red skins on them you pretty much know what they look like. They are just covered with a pink fungicide. Thanks for watching.

I'm assuming the peanut likes a really warm soil temperature? Seems like it's less happy than cotton.

Love it. This guy likes to put his money in the bank instead of GPS gadgets. I personally think GPS is a joke unless you are out West in very large fields.

It has its benefits in smaller fields as well. In crops like peanuts, which fill in whole field so that it looks almost like a hay field when mature, it makes inverting the peanuts much easier in the fall. You cannot see any rows at all in peanuts unless it was a very dry year and they did not grow well. It helps tremendously in that application. It can be done without it but it makes for long, tiring days of trying to stay between the rows.

He must be one of the last holdouts for GPS. Not too bad though.......See the field cultivator operator still hasn't set that plow! Man I thought our ground was sandy but that looks like beach sand. Guess it will make peanuts.......

Most of the ground in this area is on the sandy side. This field is a little more sandy than most though. It does grow peanuts well. Thanks for watching.

I run my lift assist wheels on float to where it rolls with the land. Don't believe I've ever seen one run off the ground like that. I'm sure he has his reasons. I like being able to see how other folks run things on their farm. Another good one Terry!

I do not own any of the equipment I film. It belongs to different farmers. From what I know about the 8000 series tractors is that they were good tractors.
